After having it running for over a year now I can say it's a great freezer. It's been the perfect size for us. My only complaint is that it doesn't auto defrost. So some frost has built up over the year. But I knew it didn't do that when I bought it so I really can't complain. It's built up less frost than I expected actually.

Best freezer ever!!! I love it! Keeps things frozen, really big too so I can fit a lot in it. Temperature control dial works FANTASTIC as well!

Love this mini freezer. Have a small freezer and wanted to stock up on sales items when needed. Wow this has been one of the best things I have purchased in quite a while. Not too big - fits next to my washer and dryer and is about the same height. Deep and I like the mini basket shelf it comes with. I had debated about purchasing one with a light but to be honest the ceiling light works just fine for me to see inside. 9 months and it is still working as good as the day we purchased.

I am very happy with this freezer. It was packed with the customer in mind. All I had to do was slightly cut the box on two corners, slide the freezers it from the bottom and plug it into the wall. The amount of room in this 5 cubic size freezer is amazing. The light is such a bonus. I open it up and can quickly view all the frozen items in an instant. This freezer works perfectly. I was not familiar with the Insignia brand but i am know. What a great little freezer.

Purchase Reason: I purchased this freezer because we have limited freezer space in our current side by side. Now we have three children under 5 and need extra freezer space. I went online and saw that they are finally in stock after not being able to buy a freezer during the pandemic. Features: LED light built into the lid! I didn’t even know this but love that I can see when the chest it is open! This freezer is quite even thought I didn’t read that in it’s product description. This freezer is actually replacing a mini fridge that I’ve used for years to store beer in. I was worried it would be noisy. This freezer is quieter than my ‘name brand’ mini fridge! Price: This freezer’s price was already reasonable but was on sale and was a great deal! I couldn’t pass. Packaging: Some of the cardboard packaging was dented but my unit was unharmed. Initial Operation: I plugged in the freezer in and then read the manual. The manual said to clean/wipe the inside down with a damp cloth. I used baby wipes and they started to get stuck because they were frozen to the walls of the freezer. The freezer got cold as soon as I plugged it in and started to freeze on some parts of the walls. One month of ownership: Had the freezer a month and it is working great! The temperature controls are on the front & bottom of the machine.;easy for small & curious fingers to reach.m and adjust. It has a small temperature turn-dial with limited detail. I knew the temp control was like this when i made my purchase. Temperature: In the manual it says that the temperature range from the highest at 10°F to -10°F at it’s coldest. I bought a freezer thermometer to know the real temperature inside my freezer since it doesn’t have a digital display. My freezer has been set to it’s coldest for several days and the coldest it’s gotten is 0°F. NOTE - There is still empty space inside my freezer, and after the research I have done, I expect the temperature to drop to -10° once the freezer is full of frozen food. Recommend? Yes. Right now I would 100% recommend this freezer to my friends and family.

Amazing freezer. I was an emergency purchase since my fridge decided to go out. The staff was very helpful, the freezer is super easy to move and transport even in a small SUV. It’s a nice size, spacious and gets every cold. I love they give you a little tool to help with de icing. Very easy to unbox and get started,

Purchased at the beginning of "stay at home" mandate for NJ for extra food storage. Perfect size for my needs. Many stores sold out of small freezers due to panic buying so I did not have a choice finding a well known brand. But Best Buy had it available within 3 days of order for pickup. So far I'm very happy with this brand. Very quiet and maintaining about 12 degrees. It's not a self defroster so will see how it is to clean when the frost builds up. Would recommend to others. A little bit bigger then the smallest and not too big for a small space.

Great purchase. I placed the freezer in the garage and there have been no issues. The hot months are soon to be here and I’m sure it will perform to my liking. A huge win is the LED light inside. The light provides plenty of brightness, making it easier to find what I’m looking for. The freezer is also very quiet. Last, props to Best Buy with having the best purchase price.

The product is a good quality. Really the size of it. Has a nice light inside so that you can see what you are getting out of freezer. It’s very light weight easy to move. The only problem with my delivery is that it didn’t come with the little casters or whatever things it sits on. To keep it from wobbly side to side

Due to Covid-19, it was hard trying to find chest freezers in stock anywhere. I was able to secure an online order through Best Buy & picked it up in store a few days later! The size of this freezer is perfect for myself & my girlfriend. We are able to load it up with enough food to last us weeks. I really like that it has a built in light on the top of the door, which makes it easier to see things. It included one wire basket as well, which I wish was a little bigger. Other than that, everything has met our needs thus far.

Excellent small chest freezer. Quiet. Interior light is helpful. Fits alot. Love the drain hole at bottom to defrost. Great value.

Keeps items frozen, as expected. Freezer is kept inside the home and makes very minimal noise. Freezer has a small footprint. We let the freezer sit undisturbed and unplugged after unpacking for 24hr. Freezer is on a moving dolly with locking casters for flexibility. Opted for delivery and the delivery folks were quick, nice, and professional. Easily moved with a hand-truck into the home. This freezer was not our first choice, but was the only choice available. Thank you Best Buy for having this available for purchase and delivery.

Perfect size for a small corner in our garage. Easy to setup, lightweight, and does a good job keeping our foods frozen. Only had for about a month, but so far so good.

I waited a few months before reviewing as I wanted to see how the freezer performed for our household. The 5 cu.ft of space is more than plenty for a family of 4 to freeze meat all the way to ice cream. We were also able to store a few of the larger frozen pizzas that you could purchase at Wal-Mart. The freeze was quite light to move into it's final location and the leveling legs were easy enough to adjust to get the freezer level. The freezer was surprisingly quiet even when the compressor turns on. I highly recommend it.

Managed to snag this in the middle of all the stay at home orders, and man this thing is a life saver. My elderly grandmother has moved in with me during the pandemic, and we are going through more food than ever now that none of us are leaving the house. It's on the smaller side for a chest freezer, but it fits perfectly in the corner of our kitchen and fits all of our monthly Costco meat stock ups. Definitely recommend - it even has a light unlike many chest freezers, so you aren't left fumbling around in the dark.
