Its the perfect size for for what i was looking for. I seen smaller ones going for more but i caught this one on sale (black Friday). So this does exactly what its made to do. If you're looking for a small freezer just buy it it will not disappoint.

5.0 Cu. Ft. Chest Freezer

We very easily balanced it with the adjustable front feet. It took us a week or so of adjusting the temperature to finally get it right. I like that the thermostat adjustment and power light are on the front of the unit. The seal on the back corner by the hinge is a little weak so ice builds up there over time but is easily scrapped away with the included scrapper. It is a relatively quiet unit, much quieter than our refrigerator, so there is no issue with it being located in our laundry area.

I called my local store and they had just received a return because the rear corner was dented. The dent was not on the side where the mechanical parts of the box are located, so I decided to take a chance with an open box purchase, with the option to refuse if the defect was not acceptable. BB checks out the items to see if they are working correctly, so the dent didn't deter me. The box has a nice light that goes on when the top is opened and it is very roomy. So glad I got this box! If my 15 year old refrigerator dies, I now feel secure that my frozen foods will not be wasted!
