Never had a problem despite some bad instances of basement water in its location and periods of electricity outages. It holds a temperature in those events to a very reliable degree. The cost at Best Buy is phenomenal since we purchased two of them. The second was a great Xmas gift for my mom! Smart added note: get a max coverage plan since ours is covered and going strong after all these years!
