Great for small areas. Basic but does the job. Stuff tends to fall out when open door.

4 Stars since it works well, freezes food without issue and was very affordable. Only ding I have with it so far is that the door/handle on top isn't super easy to open and the whole thing almost starts to tip upon pulling on the door. Better than not shutting though, so still would recommend.

Since it is so narrow it tips forward easily when the door is opened. I think this has to do with the seal on the door being so strong. That is good for keeping the cold in but bad for the person trying to get into it. Also, because you have to pull so hard to get the door open it slides on the tile floor.

First freezer had a broken leg/leg assembly and dents in the bottom, door, cracked plastic in the door and a ripple from the drop. There was no visible box damage unless you flipped it upside down. It was returned because NOBODY could figure out how to send me a leg. The second is great, perfectly level upon unboxing and stays at a constant temperature of 0. Since I'm reviewing the product I have and not the horrible online/phone customer service, it gets 5 stars

This would have been 5-stars if it were frost-free

This is a great little upright freezer. I would gladly have paid more for it if it had the frost-free feature. I'm not looking forward to the time when I will have to defrost it! However, that is the only downside to this freezer, albeit a rather major consideration. I did not have room for anything larger. I'm very pleased with this unit. It's easy to find the frozen food in the freezer and it runs quietly. I've had it for about 1 month now, and there is very little frost build-up on the shelves. The trick is to NOT open the door and stand around looking for things. Know where you put the stuff to begin with. I use this freezer solely for the extra room that my GE refrigerator cannot provide. It has a bottom freezer where I keep the every day stuff. If I want to spend time rummaging around in that freezer it's OK because it's a frost-free fridge. As I've already said, a manual defrost unit's less appealing than a frost-free model, but this Insignia fit the space and is quite inexpensive. A great value! I'm happy I bought it!

I stay in an apartment. I dont have time to cook daily or even weekly. I cook in bulk and do frozen meal preps. The apartment refrigerator wasnt big enough and I dont like deep freezers, so I got this. I was so happy to find one this long and small. It fits into my coat closet. I'm glad I dont I have a freezer taking too much space and messing up my apartment decor. This was perfect. It freezes well. Cons. - The door reversal, is almost impossible. I'm pretty strong, but I could do it. It almost broke the freezer. So I left it. - 2 racks frosted almost immediately (3 weeks) - the door suction is really tough. U cannot easily open it after closing it immediately. - I wish there was more room and storage on the door
