Customers often highlight the 5.3 Cu. Ft. Upright Freezer's convenient size, affordability, and ample storage capacity as significant advantages. Many appreciate its quiet operation, ease of use, and well-organized shelving that allows for easy visibility of stored items. We needed extra freezer space after welcoming our new twin boys. This freezer is exactly what we needed. The upright nature of it allows easy access to all of our frozen items, and also allows for a smaller footprint that allows us to keep in a smaller space in our garage. It keeps things frozen, and since we don't open/close the door as often as our primary freezer in the kitchen, we have had no issue with frost or any other inconvenience.

Bought this for my 60 year old mother for Christmas. She has a huge chest freezer and a huge upright freezer, but it is just her in the home now so she does not need that big of freezers. This was the prefect size for her. She loves how quiet it is and how easy it is to move around on her kitchen floor. So far no problems. Great freezer! Would recommend for anyone that has a family size of 1 to 4.

Comparing to chest ones, this freezer is more practical: very easy to use and small space it needs to stand up. In the chest, I was not able to get what I need right away. For this one, I may make a suggestion for the manufacturer that it might be better if it has two doors: one on the top, another on the bottom. It may reduce the frost in the freezer.

Needed to replace my monster upright freezer that occupied a huge spot. Looked at many small freezers to fit in a small space in the garage. The garage is not insulated well so I was a bit concerned. So far, I am very satisfied with the performance. No frost to speak of in the 5 months so I won’t mind defrosting it once a year.

I purchased this upright freezer so that I could easily see what's inside it. I totally love it! My sister said she tried to get her husband to buy an upright. It conserves space and simply is a great buy at just $50 more than a traditional chest freezer. It was a deal I could not walk away from.

I have the freezer about 3 weeks. It works well & the size is just right for a small space. It holds a lot of things. I used to have a chest freezer & it was hard to get things at the bottom. In the other hand, this stand up freezer let me take foods & organize things easily.

I live in an apartment and the freezer in the fridge is way to small so I decided to get a freezer to put in my storage room. It’s the perfect size and holds a lot of food. It takes up very little space which is a plus since I have more room. Good freezer for the price!

After much research I settled on this Insignia. I’ve had it now for about 2 months and it perfect. I like to meal prep so the space available in this freezer is perfect. I can find all my entrees without having to lean in and dig through containers and packages of food. The door seal is incredible. I have no complaints. The price was right too. Not sure how long it will last but I took a chance and hope to not be disappointed.

An excellent value from Best Buy! Similar size upright freezers costs $100 more at other stores. This one runs quiet, and keeps the food well frozen. The door seal is very tight and sometimes requires 2 hands to open. This is not an issue, in my opinion it is a plus. A great value!

Even though we have a large french-door refrigerator, we needed more space to store our frozen seafood and this freezer is working perfectly. It is small enough that we could put it behind a door which is convenient to the kitchen, but it holds a lot (considering the size). We could not be more pleased with the purchase.

About perfect for our small house. Light enough that we (an average couple in our late 50's) we're able to bring it home ourselves and carry it into the basement and set it up without a problem. It will require you to empty it once a year to defrost it, but it's not a big deal. We just unplug it,empty the contents into a few coolers, put a pan in the bottom to catch any dripping water, aim a fan into the freezer, and it's usually done defrosting in about 2-4 hours. Always be sure the door is completely shut when in operation because if it isn't it will frost up pretty quickly.

    Small economical freezer

If you need a little extra freezer storage this should do the trick. It is small. Mine came with an interior dent and a missing leveling foot, but seems to be functioning. I just moved frozen food from our crowded freezer in our kitchen refrigerator into this. There is no light and limited room, but it seems to be doing what I wanted it to. The big bonus is no bending over to dig through items like in a chest freezer.

Owned the freezer for 6 months now and it has been perfect since. I wasnt sure about the brand but am very happy with it. No icy stuff around the inside walls at all. Keeps food very frozen. We did have to install an additional outlet as it should be plugged directly into its own wall outlet. We have it in our basement. The front opening door is much better then digging for frozen food in a top lid freezer and i know ive had one of those in the past. It is a bit small still but can still fit about up to 80 lbs of meat cut up. Comes with metal shelves

This Insignia upright freezer is just the perfect size. It works really well keeping things frozen. I like the upright versus the chest freezer because I don't have to practically empty it to find something. It is not self defrosting, but I only have defrosted it twice in the year that I have had it. It really isn't bad because it only takes me about 1.5 hours to defrost it completely and then, of course, the time it takes to get to the proper temperature. But all in all, I would definitely buy this again.

I have had this freezer over a year now and wish I'd bought two before prices on everything went up. I needed a freezer that i could have inside the house and didnt want the chest type that would've looked out of place in our kitchen. This was slim enough to fit the bill, just enough room for enough food for two for several weeks as we live in the mountains and arent able to grocery shop as often as normal people lol
