I like this freezer better than the chest freezer I had before, mostly because I can see whats inside much easier. Plus I don't have to dig down to find things. It's not a full sized one, but it works for me. After filling it up, it doesn't pull away from the wall as easily as it did when empty. It takes quite a bit of force to open, and it does specify that it will suction close after opening, which makes it even more difficult to open, if you open it a lot all at once. Seems quiet enough.

We have a large refrigerator/freezer; but, we bought this Insignia upright freezer to replace a failed dorm-type supplemental refrigerator/freezer. We decided that our need was for more freezer than refrigerator, and that an upright freezer would be much easier for us to access than a chest type freezer - none of the back strain from bending over to lift. The Insignia freezer was inexpensive, because it is very basic, with no lights or bells and whistles. It would have been nice if it were a frost-free unit, however, we have not had to defrost it yet. It does just what we need, and at five months, we have had no problems.

My 28 year old 10 cu. ft. freezer started giving me problems. I searched and this was the best deal I could find on a small unit. I needed it in a hurry and it was in stock at a warehouse near me. Went and picked it up. From the moment I plugged it in until now it has preformed flawlessly. It controls within a 3 degree span. I've had it for about 4 weeks now, couldn't be happier

Great value for the money. Perfect size and style. Really like that it is an upright with shelves instead of a big bin that you have to bend down and dig through the contents to find what you're looking for.

Perfect size stand up freezer. Holds all my extras and doesn't ice up with frost. It fit great into my small and slim nook and ultimately why I purchased. When it closes it vacuums out air which is a great feature and reassures that you have a good seal. Its a little difficult for my younger kids to open but that's not a bad thing in my book.

This freezer is the perfect size for my family! We try not to keep too many frozen foods, so it does a good job for our family of 5. I like that it has shelves to keep everything organized. It was small enough to fit in our basement, which has a low ceiling. I only con is you can only adjust the two front feet. Our floors are uneven, so I wish it had the option to adjust all four feet.

Great item for small families, empty nesters, etc. Fits a small stockpile of meats and vegetables (and frozen pizza) leaving the fridge freezer as an icebox. It had to go into my small kitchen/dining area, so the microwave went on top. (Perfect for us tall people, btw.) Have not second-guessed this purchase, however, I am awaiting the effect on the electric bill.

Our old freezer finally bit the dust. It was too large and we never really used it to its capacity. So we bought this little freezer. It is perfect for what we need as it is very slim and fits easily in our garage. It keeps the food nice and cold. We couldn't beat the price on the freezer with install and removal of our old broken freezer. Thanks Best Buy.

I had been looking for a smaller sized upright freezer for a while and my mom suggested the size I was looking for and this one fit the bill. I had enough stuff in my regular freezer to fill this one up and create a lot of space in the smaller freezer. You are visually able to see everything without searching as you would in a chest freezer.

This upright freezer is the perfect size! Unlike chest freezers where it's one big space that your frozen stuff gets piled in and eventually buried on the bottom, this has several shelves so you can keep things neat and organized. I am very happy with this freezer. If you are looking for an upright and not wanting to spend a fortune, this is it!

This takes so little space and I can fit a lot in it. Would of given 5 stars had it been frost free.

Freezer was plug in ready. Got up to correct temperature in less time than manual states. Holds a good amount of food just don't by two large items at the same time because the is only room for a turkey or a ham on the shelf not both. I use it for vegetables and small packs of meat. Had a power outage and it did not defrost. But it probably will if it was for more than 24hrs. Good freezer thinking about get my mom one.
