    Terrible Plastic/Chemical Smell inside

    When I first opened it it had a terrible plastic/chemical smell. I washed it down with water and baking soda 4 times. Then I left the door open for 4 days. I thought it was gone so I started it up. I ran it for 2 days and it still stuck. I then cleaned it with alcohol. ran it again for a day and it was a little better. Then I washed it down with white vinegar, that helped the most. I didn't smell it when I opened the door. I thought it was gone. I tired four different times putting different pieces of food in it. But every time the outside of the package smelled like plastic/chemical. I gave up after the last time the food was in there only for 1 hour and the package smelt bad again. Made in China. Took back. i hated to. I seem real nice and i used my points plus on sale. Got it for $158. What a deal. But I didn't want o chance it. People say "off gassing" is only when not cold. This did it even cold. Not sure what was causing it, but wasn't going to risk my health on a good deal. Product number has been changed, but same product. That's why only reviews no more than 3 months old right now. Buyer beware.

    Not worth the hassle

    Top two shelves started frosting over the first day. Kept raising the temp to no effect. I followed all setup instructions. Glad I kept the original box- the 1 year manufacturer warranty requires the original packaging AND you have to haul it back to the store- in my case down a flight of stairs. I had it three months before I was able to return it. Even though it’s manufactured by a Best Buy subsidy- since it was past the in store return policy, I had to take store credit. They couldn’t even arrange a free home delivery for a new freezer after I hauled this faulty freezer up and then back down the flight of stairs at my condo. Since I now have a store credit I have to make do until they come back in stock so I can repurchase and haul the next one back home, and hope the new one isn’t defective, too.

    Damaged

    OK, so I order it online, pick it up at the store, take it home and take off the box and guess what, it's damaged. Not a little scratch or dent but a 6" section of the left rear edge is crumpled. So, either someone hit it with a hammer or it got banged on the side of the semi trailer when it was being loaded or unloaded. Sort of sad that nobody takes any pride in doing a good job anymore. They just bang away at things and tick off the customers. Now I have to put the packaging back on and haul it back to the store I picked it up at. This is going to be 3 to 4 hours of wasted life taking care of this and then I'll have to wait another 4 to 5 days after they take it back to get a new one. This really stinks.

    I had to rent a truck for $20 to pick this item up. I let it stand for 2 full days before plugging it in, just to be on the safe side. After 20 hours, it is still room temperature. Now what? I rent a truck to return, and have spent $40 to NOT own a freezer?

    We thought this would be the perfect freezer, perfect size. However, the seal is faulty so the entire top shelf filled with ice. Can’t put any food there. Gets very hot on outside too. Have had it only 3 weeks. Wish we could take it back

    I received this Freezer on 11/19. I plugged it up let it sit 24 hours before I put food in. At present nothing is freezing, not even icecream. I have been contacting store and getting no help.

    Problem with Frost along the seal

    there is frost coming where the door and compartment close. tried to get a service person to come out and fix it. Called last week and still haven't heard back.

    Looked great, But stopped working right after warrantee was out of date. Lost a fill load of meat! Terrible!!!!!
