Worked out of the box with no problems
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Starting on my 3rd keg with this refrigerator. It does a nice job of keeping the beer cold, even on a warm summer day with no help from air conditioning. Read the advice online about how to get a glass of beer with minimal foam. Colder beer and 8 to 10 PSI seems to be the secret. BTW, when the directions say "screw" in reference to the pressure regulator, they actually mean the large hex nut on the side of the regulator. After putting the first quarter barrel keg in the kegerator, it was just too tempting to resist. Most glasses that first evening were about one half foam. Do yourself a favor and let the beer cool to some temperature in the 30's before you try tapping it. This generally takes 12 to 24 hours, so putting the keg in one night and tapping it the next is a convenient way to go. You will need a cleaning kit, so, unless you already have one, you might as well order one as soon as you get the keg. If you have a home brewing store in the area, they often have the tools for the care and feeding of the tap system. Finally, I will mention that if you do not have a home brewing store in the area, you may have to improvise to find a place to get your CO2 tank filled. Welding supply shops are often mentioned as a good place to go, but I discovered that many do not mess around with filling tanks. You might want to call ahead. You also might discover that if you want your tank filled (as opposed to doing an exchange), you might have to wait a day or two. In addition to welding supply shops, you can check with fire protection companies (many service CO2 fire extinguishers) or SCUBA shops.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great kegerator, especially at this price. The minimal assembly was fast and easy. I have a Samuel Adams summer ale full barrel hooked up now with all stock parts, and I get really great and consistent pours at 10 psi. I recommend using a taster glass for the first 3 or 4 ounces before each regular pour. This will guarantee a nice pour for your regular glass, and you'll have a nice bonus glass when you're finished. I definitely recommend this for someone interested in draught beer at home!

Looks great, Good value. Customer service?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was originally going to build my own but I purchased this unit around the holidays because the price was right. So far I it works great. It keeps the beer at about 37-38 degrees. I would suggest that the manufacturer add a fan to the unit for performance as it would aid in better overall cooling. My warning would be to anyone who may need service or support for the unit. I contacted Insignia on 1/20/18, in regard to ordering additional parts for the draft assembly. I spoke to three different customer service representatives. The first didn't even know what a kegerator/beverage cooler was. She transferred me to sales. The sales representative said I could purchase the parts in service. She transferred me to service. Service didn't know about the unit and after providing her the model number and citing the manual for the part names, she told me I needed to call the manufacturer, Insignia. Then, she actually provided me the same number for insignia that I used to call for service (her). Needless to say, I'm really hoping nothing goes wrong with this unit because calling it customer support/service is a straight lie. Its clear there is no support for the product. I would recommend based on price and time will tell on performance.

Good For the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not the most fancy model of kegerator out there, but for the price it is great. It definitely keeps your beer cold and pours the beer as it should. The front is stainless steel look, but not actually stainless steel. I would definitely recommend buying this on a sale. Which they do pretty often since it is their brand. I switched out the tap handle and made my own custom handle. It comes with a small, black plastic handle. Easy to change. I am happy to have this for my sports room. It does it’s job.

Great kegerator
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This kegerator gets real cold. I plugged it in to see how cold it would get, I got it down to 22 degrees. With the keg inside I got below 0 before I raised the temperature up. Now it ranges from 40-36. It's taller and deeper then my last one. Would have given 5 stars but delivery was a mess. The product as is, 5 stars, now I have to see how long it works.

Great Kegerator.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this kegerator about a year ago. We have been super happy with it. My husband drinks Coors Light and it has had no issues fitting any of the different shapes of full kegs we have gotten at our liquor store. Keeps the beer super chilled. We would highly recommend it.

Great inexpensive kegerator
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read reviews for about 15 kegerators before buying one. For the price this is better than I expected. It is nice to have a choice between keeping the CO2 tank in or outside of the cooling unit. Setup took about 15 minutes. I had to convert the tap connection from regular keg to a corny keg but it was simple. It keeps the beer ice cold and the CO2 setup keeps a nice pour. Would highly recommend this product.

Does the job
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works as intended. The only setback is the regulator that comes with it only has 1 gauge so it was a little difficult to get the co2 output correct so a little trial and error was needed. Other than that, no complaints.

Seems to do the job
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this hooked up for about a week. First kegerator I've owned. I followed the instructions & let it run with the temp knob at 6 for 48hrs. The first thing you'll definitely want is a fridge thermometer. I grabbed a digital one off Amazon for around $15. I also grabbed a tower cooling fan off ebay. I was advised that these are really needed to stop foaming, especially with cheaper kegerators. The first day after about 24hrs the beer line froze. Wasn't the end of the world as it thawed quick & i really didn't lose any beer. But the thermometer was reading 20F at that time. I think maybe the fan effected this, although the fan is just circulating air, not sure why it would get that cold. It says range is 32F - 42F or whatever but it seems that it gets much colder. I've found a sweet spot where i leave the temperature knob at 3 and with the cooling fan on it stays 36-38F. As other reviews have mentioned, don't forget to add the washer to the wingnut / tailpiece that connects to the keg coupler. This is not spelled out in the instructions, but anytime metal meets metal in a beer line you need a washer in between! It's now been rolling at that temp for almost a week & seems to be working great.

Best Value if you're looking for a Kegerator
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything went together like it was supposed to, once you get your temperature and CO2 dialed in correctly it will dispense an incredibly tasty beverage! I don't have any experience with other models, but I can't see them being much better. Sized for 1/2 keg max, I will use it for 1/4 kegs and utilize the included shelf to hold wine bottles for the non beer drinkers!

Kegerator Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read the reviews. I purchased it anyway. I have had zero issues with this kegerator so far. Delivery was fast on time. Stays colder than expected.. its currently at 36 degrees and not on the highest setting. Pours a little fast... there was some extra foam at first. Adjusted CO2 regulator and it went away.

Consider a different brand
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would think twice about buying this item. I bought my first one about a year ago and thought it was a really good deal. I started finding water on the floor from either a leaking drain line or condensation from somewhere. I purchased the extended warranty and called to file a claim. They told me that in order to have a new one delivered I would have to purchase it and be refunded the price once the old one was picked up. The first replacement had a “hump” in the top of the cabinet where the tower attaches. As such I could not secure the tower and they gave me another one. When it came it had a dent in the front door but I decided to keep it at a reduced price. There was a screw up in the billing and when I tried to get it taken care of, the associate said that this order was so screwed up that he wanted to just order me a new one and have the other one picked up at the same time the new one was delivered. The bad thing about this 4th kegerator is there was a “hump” on the top of this one as well, but it didn’t interfere with the operation. The great thing about this 4th one is that it is much, much colder than the others. Over all I’m happy with this final kegerator but the manufacturing process is really questionable quality. I do want to say that the Geek Squad really worked hard to make it right but they had a poor product to deal with.

Best birthday present for my husband
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Kegerator as a present for my husband's birthday. He LOVES the kegerator and brags to all of his friends about the gift. The setup was fairly easy and it was the only kegerator that I could find locally. It's been over a month (not too long, I Know) but we haven't had any issues. Before you purchase the kegerator I recommend that you check out local shops where you can refill the CO2 tank. We were able to find a local welding shop to fill up the tank. Total Wine is a great place to purchase beer kegs.

Great kegerator for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you follow directions it was easily to put together it took about two days to get down to the desired temperature which was no problem having it on wheels is a great feature to so you could push it around easily. I would recommend this kegerator to anybody that wants an outside kegerator so long as you keep it out of the elements
