This kegerator has been problem after problem. I absolutely despise it. This is my second failed attempt. The first was returned. I have now had this thing for 4 months. The temp control has always been set on the highest setting of 6 and never goes below 40 degrees. I’m constantly having to unplug it, wait for 5 minutes, plug it back in and turn it back on and up to 6 in order to get the cooling mechanism to turn on. I love beer, but purchasing this kegerator is one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made.

Kegs don't fit

I received the kegerator and it seems to be as described except for that it will not hold two 5 gal kegs as pictured. The inside clearance prohibits using standard taps that come with the unit. You can use low profile taps but that will add over $100 to your total cost. I contacted Best Buy customer support but could only refer me to Insignia for any issues with the kegerator. They would not even offer a discount for my trouble and sent mix messages if they would accept a return.

Thank you for notifying us of the confusion. Because of the various sized kegs available, I want to see if I can clear up some confusion. This Insignia Kegerator capacity can hold either 1 x Half barrel keg with dimensions of 15.5 gal – 23-3/8 H x 16-1/8 W. or 2 x Slim Quarter kegs with dimensions of 7.75 gal – 23-3/8 H x 11-1/8 W. With either of these 2 configurations, the taps will connect correctly without any clearance issue. Hopefully this clears up the available capacity, but if you have any other questions please contact us via www.InsigniaProducts.com/support/contact.html. – Jon, Insignia Support

It was just a gasket, Best Buy can not or will not replace the gasket. they wanted me to bring the entire Kegerator back for a full replacement. I made a gasket for the time being and ordered 6 for $1.56. I will never buy another appliance from Best Buy!! I wonder what the board of directors thinks about this waist of $$
