Looked at chest freezers and found this one - Just what I was looking for: good size, upright, built in shelves. Showed it to a friend and she bought one too!

Great freezer, but there were a couple of broken parts in reference to the shelving but that was on the inside after I removed the freezer from the entire carton fortunately it didn't compromise the operation of the freezer which works great!

For the price we paid, I feel this upright freezer gives us a good amount of storage and helps to organize the food instead of having it all in the bottom of a chest freezer. I would recommend this to anyone looking for some extra freezer space.

I purchased this freezer to replace a 7 cubic foot chest freezer, figuring it was only 1.2 cubic feet smaller. It however, holds much less then the chest freezer. That is the only negative. On the positive side - what fits in this stand up freezer is easy to get to because of the shelves. Plus it seals shut tremendously.

The freezer is very quiet. It replaced a 5 cf chest freezer, and although this one is larger (5.8 cf), it doesn't hold as much as the 5.0 cf chest freezer. But things are much easier to find in it.

Bought this for my Wife for our 1 week old newborn from Best Buy. She pumped and labored 27 bags of 5 oz milk and x6 2.5oz tubes and for those mothers that know that takes FOREVER and is liquid gold. Purchased this item let it sit upright for 2 days to stabilize before plugging into the freezer, set it on max and let it freeze for 2 more days, on MAX, to check it it in between but would slightly freeze over to find that afew hours later it would barely be cold at all. The beastmilk went BAD cuz it needs to be frozen over, over 150oz of breastmilk that she might NEVER get back. Hopefully there will be an explanation from either Best Buy or Insignia, but never be compensated enough for such a traumatic experience of a loss for my newborn that will never be receiving this breastmilk. Will be returning to best buy today.

I'm very happy with this freezer overall. The shelves could've been a couple of inches wider and I would prefer if they were adjustable but for the price, it's a great freezer. I've had it approx. 1 month and no frost. Good size for a small apartment.

This is a great little freezer emphasis on little! I was actually surprised at how small it actually was IRL and now I'm thinking of upgrading to a larger model. Good for small families.

I did a lot of research online for smaller, upright freezers as I really wanted to make sure I got one that lasted more than 2 years. This one had by far the best rating and so far it seems to work really good but I'll try to update in a year or so. From a size perspective, it's a great size if you have a smaller space AND you want an upright freezer vs. a chest freezer. I had a really small space in my basement and it worked really well.

I've only had this freezer for a couple weeks so time will tell how well it holds up but so far I'm very pleased. This was the perfect size to gain some extra freezer space without having to buy a gigantic freezer. I like to meal prep and do a bunch of freezer meals each month but there are just 2 people in my house so I didn't need a lot of space. It's fairly lightweight and is on wheels so it's easy to move which was a big plus for me.

We live in an apartment and really needed a lot more freezer room than our little fridge gave us. After 5 months, we're pleased with this purchase. There hasn't been much ice build-up inside so far which I was worried about.

When researching an extra freezer I only wanted one with shelves and a door. This was by far the cheapest option and Im thrilled with it.

When I purchased it I was a little skeptical at first because I wasn't sure about the brand name, but it has turned out to be exceptional thus far. It was lightweight and easy to move and works efficiently thus far.

This is an awesome small freezer! I love it and works well in the garage in Texas. Love that it is upright and easy to find items. Love it

Similar to the much more expensive Frigidaire of more or less the same size. The only issue is that the Insignia has a tiny upper shelf, which is only good for ice packs and things like that. Would be handier if there were an extra evenly spaced shelf like in the Frigidaire.

I have had zero problems with this freezer. It has performed perfectly and it fits nicely next to my second fridge in our utility room.

I've had my freezer for a few years and it's still in great condition. Don't open it often so it doesn't need to be defrosted often. Good buy.

We bought this to use for extra space in our new house. Our fridge doesn't have great freezer space so we chose this one. It worked out perfectly. Great inner space and doesn't have a huge footprint like other ones.

We were able to free up space in our laundry area when the cat's demise meant getting rid of her litter box. The relatively small place was adequate for the Isignia 5.8. We are happy with the unit, though it has filled up quite quickly. It's resonably quiet, efficient and keeps stuff frozen. Best Buy's price was the lowest, and store pickup saved us a lot on shipping.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I don't have a lot of room and I don't like the chest type since you just pile things on top of each other. So, for my space and need, it fits. I do wish you could adjust the shelves and that it had a light. You don't get as much space as the chest type, but again, it suits my needs.
