I needed something a bit longer than the standard 6' cable, and I wanted to step up to CAT 6 and gold plating for higher quality. This cable has not disappointed! The communications issues I use to have once in a while have now gone away.

The 8 foot length definitely helps if you're not right next to the hookup.
