Image quality and sound for the price is very reasonable. Being mindful of the price I would give the image a 3/5 stars if sitting directly in front of the TV. I would also give sound a 2-3/5 (tinny with weak mids and lows). Colors and contrast falls off very quickly when you move from directly in front of the TV to off angle. Once off angle, the colors are far more muted and washed out. Suggest changing the color setting to "Natural" for the most realistic skin tones. Our critique that drops this down to one star are: (1) Some of the advertisements/previews that pop up are not what we feel are appropriate for toddlers and young kids as this is for use in a family room. There's no way to set up the device that we can find to default to a "PG" level. As I'm writing this, under Sponsored apps and shows there's an image of a soldier of fortune guy firing a machine gun. This is not unique to the TV but an issue for both Roku and Fire TV platforms. There needs to be a way to allow end users to filter by ratings or age group. If they are making money off of feeding us marketing, they should at least provide a way to control what's appropriate for each family. (2) Most of the apps cannot be moved to the USB flashdrive. Since this comes with a paltry amount of memory, it is critical that all apps be allowed to move to external memory. (3) Some apps that can be moved to the flashdrive will not work. (4) In this day and age, the flashdrive is built with USB 2.0 specs (black colored). Transfer of files took a long time (i.e. Asphalt 8). At this time, it should be USB 3 (blue colored) or even USB-C.

I give it 3 stars only because I forgot to give a rating sooner but I brought an open box special. Almost got two years out of it. Purchased it April 2022, and the screen just went out on me today. It's barely visible with the lights off, at night. I don't know if its because it was open box this happened or what. I'll see if it's repairable first, if not I'll be in the tv market again.
