Everything was fine until one day thebacklight of the TV, but still powered on and audio is fine. 1. Since it was after 15 days it was ineligible for return, only a repair. Since it is 50” you have to schedule a visit to your home. 2. First scheduled appointment, initially 7am-7pm, was updated the day of two times but the service team never showed up and had to reschedule. 3. Tried going in person to Best Buy. They say they won’t look at the TV. Suggest buying the Best Buy plus membership next time ($200 just as expensive as the TV was) which has a better return window. Disappointing 4. Reschedule, service team comes out this time. Agrees the backlight is broken and will do an exchange; they say I should get an email later that day. Never receive an email regarding a replacement. 5. Call customer service again. They tell me the exchange was denied and I’ll have to try another appointment. After putting me on hold for 40 minutes they finally reschedule. I’ll update this review later but I’m really disappointed in my experience. I’m guessing I just got unlucky with the TV, but all the hoops you have to go through after to just get it fixed is ridiculous. It’s also frustrating having to take time out of my day to deal with unhelpful customer service and a repair crew that might not show. Not sure I’ll ever get my TV fixed.
