I purchased this tv on May 11, and I’ve already experienced the tv glitching and colored lines appearing through the screen. Complete waste of time and money. This brand of TVs are trash! They go out within a year, in my case it’s only been 2 months.

I bought this tv for my fiancé a while back, and since then, it’s been nothing but problems! Connection issues, screen problems, audio problems! It’s just a pile of junk that will soon go in the trash! Money waisted!

Went to my favorite tech place to replace my 3 year old 50inch that my grandson accidentally threw a pen into. No he didn’t get in trouble lol.
After talking to a sales tech and explaining how I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg he pointed me to this unit. The price was right (and later got another $30 off for a price drop) and had all the features I was looking for. I’ve never used the Amazon fire TV before but easily learned how to navigate and program the TV Apps. Set up was a snap and had everything working very quickly. I highly recommend this TV and may buy another soon. Awesome Buy from

I love my new TV. It fills the room, looks so much better than my 40-inch that used to sit in that space. Easy to maneuver through the apps and set-up was a breeze. Also, works with my Alexa (BONUS). I was just looking to purchase a 2nd TV for my daughter/son-in-law.

I recently upgraded from a 39" 1080p TV to this 50" Insignia 4K and really enjoy it. I was used to having a Fire Stick so it was very easy moving to this TV. Between the voice command features, the "Recently Viewed" feature and the remote, I found it very easy to move between inputs and streaming video options. I use the voice command to switch between HDMI 1, 2, or 3 and I like the fact that while watching a TV show or movie, you can push a button on the remote and have access to change the picture levels (brightness, tint, contrast, etc.). I also love the fact that while watching something, I can push the microphone button and ask Alexa what time it is or what the weather is like and then I'm right back to watching my show. I initially connected all internet streaming via my wireless router (TV does both WIFI bands). After a week, I connected an ethernet cable (used Cat 7) and I think the quality was even better. I never had any issues whatsoever using the WIFI, but I read that wired connections are always best.
My favorite things about this TV:
-Great picture on 4K, 1080p, 720p and even some Netflix non-HD movies look great
-Easy to use (Voice, remote buttons, on-screen menus)
-I love the Alexa feature (you DON'T have to mention that name...you simply push down the microphone button, talk, and let go). I always ask for my daily briefing, which is user-customized via the Alexa App.
Things I wasn't too crazy about:
-Depending on the input quality, you can't get a full-screen picture (example: On Netflix $7.99 plan, I don't get HD quality so the screen isn't always a full screen. This isn't the TV's problem because if it would let you get a full screen, it would be blurry when expanded.
-With other streaming video apps/options, you may have a bar on top and bottom of the picture. So far, everything I've watched with Amazon Prime shows full screen with great quality.
For the price, I don't think you can beat this TV. I was going to get the Toshiba model but this was on sale for less and I like the fact that I can bring my Insignia to Best Buy if it breaks during the warranty.

This nice TV was easy to set up. The picture is big with vivid colors. It was a great price for this item. I love my TV and so do my 10 month old grand-daughter who just sits in the middle of the bed just to watch TV.

Got this TV during sales for less than $300, set up was very easy and the graphics quality is nice. Very good for streaming Apps (Netflix, Prime etc) and a way to have access to a lot more movies & TV shows. Since I have connected it, I don't even need to use the regular TV providers on it, cos I have access to all the movies and shows on this TV box. The sound too is very satisfactory, better than the inbuilt sound system of those other expensive brands.

Not the TV to buy if you're looking for the best of everything. A great tv to buy if you're looking for a solid tv. The firetv is nice, and very easy to use. The picture is solid and looks good during the sporting events and movies I've watched. My only complaint was how hard the remote was to find when setting it up initially. (It is a little compartment inside the box, covered with another label). Good tv, especially when it is on sale.

Everything about this TV is great, from price to looks to ease of use. It's a Fire TV, so you simply sign in w/ your Amazon account & have acces to all kinds of apps & downloads. The only issue we've had so far is the remote not working... but a simple adjustment to the batteries seems to have fixed it.

So glad I made this purchase. We have really enjoyed using this Insignia Fire TV. The picture is clear and can be enjoyed from across the room. The sound is great and navigating is simple - even for me. Love the apps and the closed captioning option is an added benefit for late night watching when everyone else is trying to sleep. I don't think you wil regret buying this tv.

Bought this to take the place of a 32" television in our bedroom, which was a little small for the bedroom in our new house. This 50" Insignia was just the right size for the space above the armoire and is mounted on a full function arm wall mount, which allows us to view from anywhere in the bedroom and from some areas of the bathroom.
The picture on this TV is very good with some tweaking. It's feature rich as far as sources to watch. We've had this TV about a month now and you will notice that it is kind of slow (as others have stated) when changing from one input/source to the other. Keep in mind it's only a $250 TV though (Black Friday price). Also, the speakers are not that great, but again, with some tweaking you can get them to sound okay. Not great in my opinion, but okay. Other than the lag part and the speakers not sounding that great, it's been just fine. And I knew about those two issues before purchasing based on reviews. I still bought it though and am glad I did. It's a lot of TV for the money. Not perfect, but certainly not bad either.

I was a little weary of getting another 4K tv. My internet isn’t that great (8 mbps upload and 1 mbps download). So far, the picture is great. I do however use my Roku stick for most apps because I can change the resolution to 720, which results to a clearer picture.
The remote is simple enough, however, the first couple of days I had a hard time navigating to where I need to be. The simplest solution is to long press the home button. You can get to most everything from there (channel guide, inputs, apps, sleep timer, and picture).
I absolutely love the channel guide for my antenna tv. Press the home button it goes the guide , that shows the channels that saved to your tv (after scanning). It will show you 2 days worth of programs. While watching antenna tv, press the 3 horizontal lines on the remote to get to closed captions.
The downside, there isn’t a power button on the tv. If I lose the remote, I can only watch apps on Roku (pressing any button on Roku will wake the tv because I have it set to go to that input) but I still can’t turn the volume up or down. But, that’s not important enough to drop any stars for.

Good picture, good value, the remote failed at about 100 days after purchase. Had to jump through hoops to get someone to make a customer satisfaction decision and replace the remote under warranty. Local store was unhelpful, listening to the COVID protocol was more important to them!

We bought this for our son and we are so happy with this TV! Our son loves it..from size to all the options that it comes with. We use Fire TV and this TV is a Fire TV. Great picture, sound quality, ease of installing and setting up. Plus we happen to get this on sale for $249.00...even a bigger bonus!

Took a chance on this in house brand because the price was great and we couldn't be happier. The picture is EXCELLENT and since were already Firestick users, the interface was familiar. If you aren't a familiar with the interface, it is simple and EASY to navigate. If you can't click or are too lazy, simply speak into the remote and Alexa will find it for you on major players such as Netflix and Hulu and speaking can adjust the volume and change input modes too. Your Alexa info. displays on the giant screen, such as "What is the weather or show me how to cook chicken soup." We haven't cut the cable cord yet, and it is easy to switch between cable and internet TV. We have a maximum internet speed of 10 mbps and have no problems with buffering unless there are 4 people running an app such as Netflix at the same time on different devices and then we get a small amount. We aren't getting a true 4K experience because we don't want to pay extra, but who needs it. The picture is clear, the colors accurate and overall this is a fabulous TV.
