I was looking to replace a unit from another manufacturer that lasted less than 1.5 years...Decided to try Insignia for less than half the price of the other manufacturer I had. This unit works as well as the other unit. Highly recommend

Deal of the day sale! Very satisfied with this purchase. It is much quieter than my friends and very easy to operate. Plug in, set desired humidity level and that's it. Easy to empty reservoir (plus it has a handle). Would definitely recommend.

I bought this due to a damp basement. The home is old and has some moisture issues quickly and quietly. This baby took care of the issue. Simple, simple hook-up with hose attached direct to floor drain. Bought it deal of the day...great price!

This unit is working fine and drawing in water as expected. I have it set up in my basement and have to empty the tank about every two days. There is a filter panel on the back side of the unit that rattles too much, bad design I'll assume. This is causing excess noise above and beyond the norm. Also odd that in the instructions there is no mention or diagram of how to empty the water bucket. I get it, you pull the darn thing off and replace when emptied, but nothing ? I mean, once you get the thing going it's pretty much the only thing you have to do to it. Quite frankly, sometimes I have trouble pushing it back in place.

Purchased one month ago to minimize the moisture level in my basement. Unit has worked very well so far, is quiet enough and is very simple to operate. Hope it lasts longer than a previous competitor’s unit.

Purchased to use in my master bedroom/bathroom. It reduced the humidity in my bedroom/bathroom from 77 to 53 in less than 30 minutes this morning after a hot shower. It's been helpful in the living room too thanks to the muggy summer we're having in KC. I don't know how I lived without a dehumidifier all these years and am happy to have found this one on sale!

Works so well. Not noisy at all. Just sounds like a typical fan. I usually get about one and a half tubs a day, which is over two gallons. WOW! We sure aren't missing that in our air.

I always wanted to get a dehumidifier for our basement, but was reluctant to spend the cash. When this was a Deal of the Day, I finally decided to purchase it. I'm so glad I did and wish I'd have done so sooner. It was so easy to set up. We connected a hose for the drain and it works great, no more dumping the water out daily!!! Our basement is unfinished, but our laundry is set up down there and we use it for storage. Now I don't have to worry about the things we store down there as the air smells and feels so fresh and it's much more comfortable to work there!! I highly recommend this!!!

This unit really works well and it is very convenient that you are able to set the desired humidity level. It is also relatively quiet when it is running.

It works as expected. I need to empty the collection bin every day, more often if its very humid. My only complaint is that its very easy to spill a little water when you remove the bin.

We have to empty this twice a day it is pulling so much moisture. Should have got the larger size. Quiet operation.

I bought this unit to replace 2 successive GE dehumidifiers which expired due to compressor failure. I was amazed at how quiet and vibration-free it is. I like the humidity readout, too. However, it shows a 'dirty filter' light often with no visible accumulation, but it goes out after a quick rinse. This washable filter is great, my GEs had to be taken apart to be cleaned. It seems like a great value, time will tell.

More quiet than Fridrich. Easy to use. Energy efficient. I use it the whole summer in the basement. Excellent product.

Removes moisture from our basement quickly. Pretty quiet. I question the durability considering the amount of plastic parts.

This machine is quitter than my old machine that died, and works properly -- doesn't ice up in basement.

This is my second dehumidifier. First one broke years ago. This one removes the moisture in the air pretty fast. The issues I have are; - The sound now is different from the first few times I was using it. I don't know if it's a quality issue. Time will tell. - Just like my first one years ago this machine also puts out warm air. I think it defeats the purpose of removing the moisture in the air to make the room temperature becomes more comfortable. So if the goal is to lower the humidity in the room/house, it does the job but with warmer air.

Only been running it for a week, but it’s quiet and pulls out a lot of moisture from my basement. I have it running in continuos mode.

THIS dehumidifier is a great MACHINE..it's quiet&works so well&so efficient.
