I run it continuously in my lower level and have to empty it once a day. The only problem I have is putting the water container back into the unit. This is my problem and not the units problem.

BEFORE I LOCK THINGS UP FOR THE NIGHT I TURN ON AND RUN ALL NIGHT LONG. COME IN THE MOURNING ITS LIKE SOMEONE HAD THE WINDOWS OPEN AND ITS WAS FALL. NO MORE DAMP CARD BOARD OR PAPER. GREAT BUY WILL BUY A SECOND ONE FOR MY HOUSE.

It is much more quiet than my previous dehumidifier. I have not hooked up a hose for drainage as I use the water collected for watering plants, although having the hose option was a deciding factor in my purchase. I also like that a button light comes on when the filter needs to be cleaned.

Emptying the bin drawer is a little clumsy, if you don’t line up the drawer it’ll close crooked and you can either remove and try again or smack the corner inwards. Otherwise it’s very efficient and does a great job!

Using it in addition with medium moisture 14 by 26.5 are a works really well pulls out more moisture than the old 70 pt. Tray is a little flimsy but works great if you are unsure just buy it. It's a great value. If the water tray slid in easier I would give it a 5 star.

It also provides an opportunity for exercise walking down there twice a day to empty it. It has run flawlessly all of this time, so there is no reason not to recommend it highly.

It’s not overly quiet, but quieter than the last 10+ year old model we had. The buttons are easy to use, but adjusting the humidity levels while attempting to use the continuous mode is not trivial.

Recommended for basements

The unit is based in my basement and it continuously runs. I love how the wheels at the base make it easy to maneuver and I also like how easy it is to maintain. Greatly recommended for humid basements!

I have it running directly to a drain so the capacity really isn't an issue. I like how it shuts down once the preferred humidity level is reached. Had a Frigidaire before this and it crapped out after one summer.

It performs well except we have been unable to change the humidity setting despite everything we have tried. It dehumidifies with a vengeance and would go below 40% if we didn’t turn it off. The off/on switch is the only way we have found to control it.

The regular mode is nice and quiet, but it also has a turbo mode that gives you extra drying power but with more noisy. The water container can be a little tricky to slide back in, but once you get the hang of sliding it in exactly evenly it isn't a problem.

Came a few days later, setup was easy plug and play literally. I did hook a hose up to it to drain in my sump pump but for some reason it must not be inclined properly and the bucket always fills up and shuts down the unit until emptied. It does the job I wanted it for to dry out my basement/house. You can set it to work on a time or temp, I have mine set to stay at 50%. Wish the hose drain worked better other than that not sorry I went with this one.
