This is my first portable a/c unit, but after recently buying my first home with no central air, I realized quickly how bad I needed one. My home is a tri-level layout, and the main floor would get so hot and uncomfortable. I have this unit in my living room, and it keeps my entire main floor comfortable! My main floor consists of living, kitchen, and dining, about 25'x30', 750sqft. total! I have mine setup to manually drain after the reservoir tank fills, and so far, with intermittent use, I have yet to have to empty it after about a month's use. The remote that comes with it is great! It has a digital display that will show you the current temp setting, fan speed, mode, and battery life. This little guy has been a life saver, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this item again!

I think it’s pretty good for the price :) does exactly what it’s meant to do, just a bit louder than you’d think

The parts that came with the unit did not work well in a window and did not fit together with themselves properly. The unit weighed 100lbs and is very heavy. This A/C unit barley kept a 10ft x 12ft room cool. The unit had a leaking problem.

Upgraded from a 12,000 BTU insignia A/C to a 14,000. Definitely notice the difference, and haven't had any problems since.

Horrible Product, Horrible Service

The AC unit would blow cold air for about 20 minutes then shut off for about 10 minutes. Then it would blow cold air for 10 minutes, and shut off again for 10 minutes. Then it would blow cold air for 5 minutes, and turn off. Eventually it got to the point where it would only turn on for 10 seconds and then shut off. When it was off the unit was radiating heat. It made my small apartment so hot, I could barely function. I called insignia and they set me up with an appointment with best buy to get it repaired or replaced. Short story long, Best Buy couldn't repair it, and didn't have any in stock and couldn't re-order. So I just got a refund. Never been so disappointed with Best Buy and a product.
