This is a basic HDTV without the Smart features of other HDTVs. But it is just what I needed.

Recently stopped working... less than two years old

Worth the low price I paid. I bought it for my dad.

Picture is good, sounds is wonky. one led has turned solid red, Best buy would not do anything about it. A but irritated

Takes a very long time after turning on set for picture to display. Picture quality acceptable but not up to 4K standards

Stopped working after 8 months of owning tv screen just quit working and no longer .anufactor parts

We have spent upwards of $800 in the past for this size of TV and this one has the best picture quality of them all. I wasn't looking for a smart tv as I just don't have anything in 4K to view. Maybe down the road but this TV has a very good picture, it's not real heavy and simple to operate. Hard to believe it was just $329. Samsung is the actual maker of this TV.

Returned this purchase due to the cracked screen when I took it out of the box.

I received a 32” Insignia as a Christmas present 3 years ago and I haven’t had any problems with it. With that in mind, I decided to purchase this 55” based on my satisfaction with my gift and because of the price tag. The sound and picture quality meets my expectations. The setup was quick and simple, plus the remote is very user friendly. I feel that this is a great tv without the high price tag.

My wife & I could not be happier with this Tv.! Excellent quality picture, simple set up & operation without complicated bells & whistles! $ 349.00 for a 55" high quality Tv!

I bought this TV for my boyfriend’s birthday. He’s had it for about 4 days now and so far not a single complaint. I read reviews on TV’s from multiple websites and brands and found this one to have the most positive reviews with the best price. Neither of us are TV experts and don’t get overly technical when it comes to megapixels and features. We’re also not idiots though, just looking for a good quality of picture and a decent sound range. This TV looks really good, details are super enhanced and the sound at just 15 was suprisingly loud and clear too. I’m so happy with it! He didn’t have to adjust anything and it already looks/sounds great. Also very happy with the shopping experience. I ordered this TV online around 11pm and the next morning it was ready for store pickup. I actually drove my car right up on the sidewalk and 2 Bestbuy guys loaded it into my car for me. Overall 10/10. Love the TV, and can’t believe it was so cheap for the quality product you’re getting.

Nice picture. Good sound from the rear-firing speakers. Easy set-up. Seems well-constructed. Was well-packaged. Strong, supportive feet. The price was outstanding. Have good reason to believe that Insignia is made by Sharp. Check out the construction/back designs of the Sharp 4K and Insignia HD 55". Now if I just knew who makes Sharp. So many varieties of TV's, so few actual manufacturers.

EXACTLY what I wanted at a great price. NO bells and whistles that I would never use. Not a "smart" tv, but I don't need or want a smart tv.. Simple, basic, tv with good picture. I wish that the sound was a bit better, but I solved that issue with a sound bar. Easy set up/installation.

I purchased this as a third TV to occupy my entertainment/workout room. I was looking for a decent picture, didn't need 4K nor smart functionality (however, I have an extra Roku that works perfect to access the internet channels). I am very impressed with the picture, crisp, clean with rich color. I watch mostly news and sports but it performs perfectly for movies too. The price ($329 + tax) made it even better. This picture equals my 65 inch Sharp Aqous and Sony Bravia, and at a much lower price. I'm so glad I listened to my wife!

Bought this TV yesterday. What can you say really other than it has a good picture. Good sound. It was cheap ($350 when I bought it 7-27-17). I don't have any need for 4K since my Dish doesn't push 4K and my internet isn't fast enough to stream it. And honestly a cheap 4K TV isn't really going to be that good anyway. This 55" TV does have a great picture connected to my DishNetwork HD. I'm happy with it. It is replacing a 42" Insignia we bought over 10 years ago that is still working.

Previous 2 1/2 year old 55 inch Insignia led lights went out. Contacted Insignia customer service and they could not have been better or easier to deal with and this was without an extended warranty. Previous model had an issue with LED inverter board. Sent a new one out sight unseen and it arrived within 2 business days. I've had this T.V. now for over six months and could not be more pleased with the T.V. or the piece of mind that comes from purchasing an Insignia product backed by their exceptional customer service. Great experience all the way around and I felt the need to write this review to thank all those involved. Bruce L.

I was very skeptical on this tv. After reading the reviews I went down to the local Bestbuy store looked a the display model and made the purchase. I have purchased the tv on 1/20/2018 and I am very satisfied. I understand the differences between the the top tv's and this and there is a noticeable difference however not a big enough of difference to get me to purchase a tv for 2-3 times the amount I paid. I would definitely purchase this again.

After setting it up, I almost returned it. The narration (voice over) was very annoying and I did not know how to remove it. I called Best Buy FTL and the manager Desmond, took the time and told me how to reset the TV. so that went away. The pic quality wasn't very good, but I called Comcast and they sent the HD signal to my TV. Now, pic quality is very good. If you want the best top quality, then you need to spend more money. Considering the price we paid, we are very happy with it.
