I was very excited about getting this TV for our basement. Reviews appeared enticing. The one thing I really wanted was for the TV to have a USB port as an external media player. So while the port exists, it plays a very limited type of media files. So be cautious of that if that's a key reason you're purchasing this TV. Wifi connection is very good.

I have found that Insignia is the best television I have ever owned. I would offer this advice: pay attention to the base (could be dresser or table, etc...) to which the television is setting on. As with a lot of televisions, the support feet are wider which may limit the size of the furniture that you can set it on. I have another television where the stand is in the middle of the set which allows it to be placed on more types of furniture.

Picture and sound are great for me. I was able to set it up alone. The only issue is it times out and shuts off after a short amount of time. There is no way to change that. Many threads about the issue.
