I was watching Tv when the screen darkened to black and now all I get is sound. Tried getting it repaired with the year warranty but because I purchased in July and the TV died in October they couldn't do anything.

Great TV, 18-Month Shelf-Life

It worked flawlessly for exactly 18 months ($22/month); then the dreaded, vertical lines-of-death began appearing: first one, now four. Prognosis - dead television in 2 weeks. My 60” Samsung (2015, $1,500) lasted 84 months ($17/month). But when my Samsung died, U had one day’s warning before going dark forever. So I’m buying another Insignia, knowing it’s limited lifespan, but appreciating it giving me time to shop for a new one.
