Great tv for pricePosted
Bought tv as a gift ,simple setup (not a smart tv) but was everything my uncle wanted as he doesn't stream anything but wanted ti upgrade over a picture tube tv. He really enjoys the picture quality.

Dead after 18 monthsPosted
Purchased as gift for parents, TV was dead after 18 months. After searching online looked like a known issue with one of the components on this model. Insignia and Best Buy both basically said since it was past the 1 year warranty I was out of luck. I explained that this was gift and that I really didn't want to tell my parents that their gift was now a paperweight. I asked if there was anything they could do as far as help with fixing it or some kind of a discount on a new TV to compensate for the fact that I was sold a defective one and neither Insignia nor Best Buy offered any help. I've worked retail customer service for years and this was a really disappointing experience. Both companies could have done better. They sold me a bad TV. So I guess my advice would be if you get one of these you really need to get the extended warranty but it's the last Insignia I'll buy and I'll probably think twice about buying from Best Buy in the future too.
