This 55 inch Insignia shows clear HD Channels. Volume is loud enough unless you want something to blow your eardrum out.

Great quality tv. The only downside is there is know way to adjust the volume without the remote. So don't lose the remote!

Only have 2 complaints about the TV... one, some shows are REALLY loud and some shows are really low. I constantly have to change the volume. Second, the legs/stand are really long... probably only an issue for me since I was planning on putting it on my mantle and had to just mount it to the wall instead... but still figured it was worth mentioning.

This TV is a bargain. Great picture, for a small price. There are plenty of connections for players and receivers, as long as they are HDMI, and what isn't HDMI these days? The only issue is the sound quality. A little hard to hear at lower volumes, but turn it up and it makes some noise. We are using ours in the game room, and the video games are bigger and brighter than ever before.

I have toshiba 40", LG 42", Samsung 46" and insignia 32"-smart tv . Now this. Great experience with Insignia 32" smart TV , I have chromecast, Amazon Fire so skip smart TV. 16ft from wall to viewing area so 50"-55" inch. Bought Toshiba 49" Smart TV 249$ black friday, canceled order after saw InSign 55" @ the store check the review, glad I made the switch. Sound is 0-100 + Digital surround(dts) and usually 55/100 is loud. We usually watch movie without- audio out to small Sharp 50W microsystem. With audio out wow movie theater. Time will tell how long this will last. just bought this.

It's a "dumb"/basic TV - nothing "SMART" 3 HDMI and 1 Analog Video input. Just fine for my needs. Color isn't a "perfect" out of the box experience and requires some tweaks. There are other imperfections that some may not like -- concerning the picture quality. But it was CHEAP. So, not being so picky here - just mentioning it. I find the sound to be adequate. It's as loud or louder than any other TV I have owned. I like the bezel, especially how the "Insignia" name almost fades away and isn't as noticeable/bold as other TV's I own. The on-screen menu/guide takes some getting used to - but seems to work without any bugs that I have noticed. Changes channels very fast - even has an on-screen clock! The remote is basic - but I love that it has large buttons and some of the largest printing I have seen on a remote.
