The tv is good for the price, not a top quality picture as others, but again good for the price paid. Good replacement for a tv that had burned up.

The TV is not bad for a low price HDTV 1080p. The remote is really bad. I would have rated it higher if the remote wasn’t bad. It works when it wants to. Changed the batteries several times and it still doesn’t work well.

This TVs lighting element went out after a month of limited usage. Called Best Buy and they have to send out a tech to verify it which takes 4 days. Pretty sad a TV goes out this fast. Still had the stickers on it and everything. Only thing Best Buy is willing to do is to come out and look at it. Wont be buying from them again. Says I bought it on 9/24/19 and I cant even return it to the store.

I was looking for something to game on with my kids and after reading a TON of reviews I purchase this one. It is not a smart TV which is fine with us since we have so many gaming systems that allow us to do the smart thing regardless. It has good picture excellent sound and more base than we thought. It's super easy to set up and connect to our sound bar. I recommend this TV for someone who's on a budget but wants a nice big picture.

This is my second insignia TV. Can't beat the price and we wanted a basic "dumb" TV. Sound is great. Picture is amazing. Of course, some adjustment is needed to get the tones you want. It meets our needs. Easy set up. Ours sits on the feet, our cable box & DVD player easily slide right under the TV. Nice large buttons on remote too.

At the price point this TV falls into, I'm quite impressed! The picture is very clear and it's easy to assemble. This was purchased to replace a smaller and older TV who's picture went out. The only thing lacking I believe is the sound. Could have better speakers but for as low priced as it was, I'm not complaining!

This is a $200 TV. There shouldn't even be a negative review. It's a simple $200 throw-away TV like an old Hyundai or Kia. This TV won't last you 10 years like a Samsung or Sony. The picture quality is a 5 out of 10 at best. But that's what you pay for. While there are a lot of people on here whining about the picture quality and having to tweak it...etc., etc....it's still a throw-away $200 TV. And I bought this TV for just that reason. I had a $1,500 TV in my bedroom and didn't want to risk it going out considering I leave it on about 12-16 hours a day (99 percent of the time while I'm sleeping). So I got this. Picture quality is what I expect from a $200 TV. Cheap and blurry. Refresh rate will make sports blurry and you'll get a headache...but it's still a $200 TV. Has no smart features, but I have a Roku, and it's still...just a $200 TV. Remote is adequate, but I have a universal remote...it's still just a $200 TV. Sound is sub par, but I have surround sound setup so I don't need the TV volume....yes, it's still a $200 TV. So for $200 is it worth it? Yup. If you need something to put outside under your covered porch to watch TV on or a cheap TV that's literally on 24/7 and you don't want to cry if it ever goes out on you...then this is the TV for you. Simple, cheap, economic.

When shopping for a replacement TV, I wanted a 55", but didn't need it to be a smart TV or 4k. My options were fairly limited, but this one fit the bill perfectly. I was a little hesitant to try the Insignia brand, but after reading the reviews and talking to others that has owned them, I decided to purchase. I'm VERY happy with the picture quality, and have enjoyed the TV very much. 3 HDMI ports (more than the Samsung it replaced, and more than the Sony in the other room). Super easy set up and use. No issues, complaints, or cons. This is a great TV for the price.

I'm not much of a TV watcher, but my 32" Insignia's screen was getting a bit hard to read, so I thought I'd go up in screen size a bit. I hate smart TVs and specifically don't want an Alexa-connected one, I was delighted to find probably the only dumb TV left in the country. My previous Insignia had no problems in 7 years except being slow, and when I had a bit of a problem setting it up, I was able to get phone support, so I had a good feeling about the brand. The only complaint I have is that it came with great big duck feet that are placed about 38" apart, and the cabinet I wanted to use had a turntable built in that was 35" in length. The TV could not be hung on the wall, due to a window on one side and a door on another. Best Buy doesn't[t sell a pedestal stand. I purchased one elsewhere, inexpensive, but sturdy. The stand raises the set high enough to put my TiVo Roamio under it. 1040p is good enough. With TiVo, I can access all streaming services. The 32" is in the kitchen with an OTA antenna, and still working fine.

This Insignia 55" TV replaced my six year old Samsung 55" TV that died of old age. The color on the Insignia is better than on the old TV, and the presets for video appearance (e.g., vivid, normal, movie) give me exactly the picture I want. I leave it set at Movie most of the time. I didn't need a smart TV because my blu-ray player already has those features. Most content available today is 1080p resolution or less, so I also didn't want to pay extra for 4K resolution. This TV delivers an excellent picture, and the price can't be beat. If you already have streaming/smart capability built in to your blu-ray or other component, you shouldn't hesitate to buy this TV.

Fabulous TV. Color, sound and over all ease of use. For the price, nothing comes close. Just outstanding. Why spend more on a name brand when this out performs all of them. Five stars.
