I loved the tv. Great picture..easy set up..big button remote control is a big plus. HDMI outputs streamed my Roku player and blue ray dvd player great. Issue: the screen took an accidental hit and the picture got distorted. Geek Squad Insignia stated this was not covered under the warranty and refused to fix and or replace the tv. The hit was not with a hammer or a brick or a round house kick by Van Damm. My other brand TV's have taken similiar hits by my terrible 2 grandson and survived. I can understand if the warranty had expired but 3 months into a 12 month warranty. I had just purschased a 32 inch insignia and I am considering return it and I will definitely will not buy a 55 inch Insignia tv again and would not recommend anyone to buy one if the tv cannot take a minor hit before the warranty expires

It is a fantastic tv for a great price! Great color and image. I love that it has a normal remote and is easy to navigate. Easy set up. Highly recommended.

You cannot beat the price for this size tv. The picture quality is excellent, the size is perfect, the price is great, easy setup, but I subtracted one star because the sound is not very good. Will be buying a soundbar and subwoofer and that should fix the problem.. hopefully. For the price of this tv I would definitely recommend. I had it set up in less than 10 minutes. Would just recommend a soundbar if you're planning on buying this tv.

I think this TV is probably the last of the great HD televisions. Everything is pretty much Smart 4K nowadays. We have a Fire TV box, a Chromecast device, a digital DVR and an Android TV box. I see zero reason for the Smart features in new TVs. because of an ongoing renovation project we currently sit about 5 feet away from this TV. My wife and I both agree that the picture is amazing. If you have pixelation I suggest it is a bandwidth issue. We have a great connect speed and I use ethernet for all of my video connections. I bought this TV when it was on sale for $249 and had a 10% off coupon. So I paid around $225 for it. This is my third Insignia TV. I have never been disappointed with this brand!

Easy set up. Huge screen. Very low price. Perfectly adequate for living room TV. Integrates seamlessly with AppleTV.

very good picture and features not quite the contrast of the higher end 55 inch tvs.. however on a dollar per value basis, it is an excellent choice and i suspect unless there were 2 sets side by side all viewers would give the picture quality very high marks

This tv is a great deal for the price. The picture is great. The tv is light weight and easy to wall mount.

If you are looking for a TV that will fill basic needs and give an overall good picture, this is for you. I use these in a business setting and I haven't had one fail yet (some are coming up on 5 years old). They are not going to give you the latest and greatest features, but these are definitely above your most basic entry level TV. You should not hesitate to make this purchase if you need a pretty good TV on a budget.

Stunningly low price. Excellent picture, completely free of dreaded "soap opera" effect. Despite enormous size, easy installation and surprisingly light weight. Only minus is AUDIO: speakers do not aim FORWARD and sound quality is well below average. Connecting to sound bar or external speakers that face OUTWARD makes a huge difference in sound quality.

I bought this tv over a month ago and so far it works great. The color adjusted well, the sound is good we don't even have to use our soundbar! It's just a basic, large tv. We didn't want a smart tv and this was the only one Best Buy had on hand. Glad we went with Insignia, it's a really good brand.

Pros: Great picture quality our friends and family can’t believe it’s not a big brand name. Can’t beat the great price of insignia. We got it on sale under $300. We had our last insignia for 13 years before it went out. So happy to get a new one. Cons: There are no buttons on tv only power button so must use remote. Which is fine with me. ;)

I like the clarity and crisp color. Does not get blurry watching sports or other action-heavy programs. Menus are easy to navigate. 2 complaints I have are: 1. Does not have simple technology to compile a programming guide for digital o.t.a. channels, only shows info. of current program, so I have to rely on alternative listings to see upcoming programs. This technology has been around since digital broadcasting became mandatory, so I'm disappointed the tv does not have this ideally standard feature. 2. Antenna receiver sensitivity is a bit low. I am located approximately 30 miles from station broadcast antennas in my region, using an antenna in the attic and an inline Rocketfish amplifier. I regularly experience large signal fluctuations on sunny days, stormy days, calm, and windy days. When the signal drops, occasionally the t.v. has a difficult time synchronizing sound with picture; it will recover if I change the channel then go back, until the signal deteriorates again. All in all, I think it's a good value that gives performance close to the latest and greatest technology, so if you just want a t.v. do to what a t.v. is supposed to do, I recommend this one.

Well BB is asking for a review of this TV after only 3 weeks but so far it has been flawless. Picture, Sound and Features are plenty delightful for our needs. We feel this TV offers a wonderful value at just $219.95 for a 55" 1080P HD TV and at $219.95 we threw in a 5 year extended warranty so no worries for 5 years in the cheap!

This was an early birthday gift for my cousin whose own television went out. and the fact that it was on sale was a plus. Insignia has a good product history, so l know that l had a good deal. Setting up the light weight, ultra thin model was easy and showed awesome picture quality so Happy birthday cuz! (and thanks best buy.)
