Not long lasting......
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the TV 2018 and it only lasted 5 years. I had protection the extire time for the TV and it expired exactly 1 week before the TV screen went black. they offered help but at an additional cost so be very leery of the protection and the terms of it. In the beginning the picture quality was awesome. Every part of someone's face you can see and every detail is great. But after 5 years look for the picture quality to decline. I will give the picture quality 5 star rating because it was great but after that no good.

Hit or miss on quality.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had two out of ten of these go out just outside of a year of them being installed. Known issue of display going out and sound still working. Shouldn't need to buy an extended warranty for these and Best Buy should pony up for a replacement or free repair. All future tvs will be Samsungs. Will pay a bit more for a quality product.

Won't connect to Comcast cable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took it out of the box and went through setup. Everything was working fine EXCEPT would not recognize my XFINITY Comcast cable tv box. Tried everything and a blue screen with NO SIGNAL found. Plugged in another set and live tv pops right on. Also, this set, like all other Insignia TVs is on an old release of ROKU, 7.7. This release has major issues with streaming Netflix. After approximately 30 minutes, the screen freezes, voice continues, and eventually the whole TV shuts down and reboots. Supposedly fixed in ROKU 8.0 but not available now but will be "SOON". And did you ever try to get support from Insignia?? Doesn't exist except for a "unplug it and plug it back in" suggestion. Needless to say, this tv is being returned tomorrow and I'll stick with LG, Samsung or Sony. I will NEVER buy another built in Roku TV again.

Decent but not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this in April of 2018 and it was ok, nothing spectacular. It is a basic, low quality panel, TV. Recently upgraded to a Samsung; the difference is night and day.

Great but, if you get it as an open box, also get
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great but, if you get it as an open box, also get the warranty. I got it home it worked fine for 2 months, but then a horizontal line and vertical line appeared. Manufacturers warranty does not cover open box purchases. Anybody know where I could get it fixed?

Terrible quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4 weeks into ownership of this tv, it began to lose its sound. I called the customer service # and was told all I needed to do was unplug the t.v. and that should fix it, which it did. However, I did not realize this would be a common (once a week) issue. The overall sound quality is poor even when it is working correctly. The roku is the only reason to own this product. Spend a little more and get a quality t.v.

Wished I'd know before purchasing...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would first like to say that I do really like this TV. However, I wished I'd know before purchasing that I would be required to activate Roku, which at minimum is a one-time fee of $69.99. I really don't plan to use Roku and would have likely went with a different model.

DON'T BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this 6/24/17, it's 10/3/18 and I have a panel defect where the LED lights are out in certain areas. Both INSIGNIA and best buy won't fix even though it's a product defect because it's over the year warranty. $500 down the drain. I'm told it's cheaper to buy a new TV than to fix it...you shouldn't have to replace a TV yearly. Especially when it's bought brand new and it's a manufacture problem. Apparently it has to be within 2 weeks after the warranty expiring for them to be able to do anything..even though it's only 3 months after.

Remote Doesn't Work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was given this TV for Christmas. The remote didn't work. It was replaced twice. None of them worked. Best Buy then replaced the TV. Same situation. There must be a defective receiver in the TV as it works with a cell phone which uses WIFI.

Weird picture and "stage-like" echo sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't understand these reviews? The picture looks like a bad soap opera or an SNL skit, the sound is like watching one of my kids school plays, and that's coming through the optical cable into my newer sound bar. I have been trying to make adjustments in the settings but nothing has helped. The picture is super clear, but I hate watching anything on it. I watch on my old TV. I'm going to have to take it back. Are all 4k TV's like this or is it just mine?

Worst TV EVER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture and sound went away after only having TV 2 days. I was hesitant buying Insignia since it's not a name brand. I won't ever make that mistake again. I will stick with LG or Samsung
