I purchased this unit a month ago and it works as its supposed to! I put it in my front room I live in a small 2 bedroom 750 sq apartment and it cools the front room perfectly in addition if I leave my bedroom door open my room gets to comfortable temperature considering it's the thick of summer and 90 plus degrees outside. I highly recommend this unit.

Cools the room it is in with one downside. Condensation leaks all over the floor. Put it on a plastic tray with a decent brim so it captures the water condensation from it. Not sure if this a common problem or just with my unit. Took the covers off to see if there was any obvious signs of a leak in the reservoir that is supposed to collect the condensation and couldn't find anything.

Very good quality, easy to run, cools the room fairly fast!

Good buy and provide good Ac for small space but it’s too loud . Louder than what I expected. Good value and do the purpose .

Love this portable AC. I conveniently bought this months before my house AC went out. While we were waiting for the AC install this thing was a life saver. Also lent this out to friends who have had AC problems. Powerful enough to cool down 1 room regardless of the size that I have tried it in.

I purchased this A/C not expecting much from my previous experience with portable A/C. Wow was I Surprised how effective it called my efficiency that I live in. Most times I keep it at 77 and have the fans shoot up. It works perfectly and has been keeping me cool. Highly recommend for small office or efficiency.

We got the 450sq feet one and loved it so much we went out and got the 550sq feet one and now we are removing all window ac’s in our last two bedrooms and buying in these .... you can have these installed and still keep your window screens in (my wife loves this bc of bugs not being able to get in ). Well worth it

This is a good product that works as promised and cools a room or two very fast. The reason for a 4* is because we did not want a unit that had a window exhaust

The a/c works great but fan stays on when not cooling. Would be a five star rating if had energy mode

I bought this when it went on sale and it has helped cool down our living room and family room. Granted it didn't make it very cold but the area is like 1000 Sq. Ft., almost double the rated area. Plus, we don't want it to be too cold anyway, just enough that it will not be uncomfortable hot.

I really wanted to like this AC unit but after comparing it to the Frigidaire, it’s night & day. Quality: 1) The wheel from the Unit was broken upon delivery so I had to return it. 2) hose fell apart after less than a days use Overall, comparing the quality of this insignia vs the Frigidaire, there’s an apparent lack of quality with this unit. Just seems cheaper. Sound: Definitely loud especially in AC mode to the point it’s impossible to fall asleep to. The Frigidaire is significantly quieter.

Overall good, just a bit loud. Would like to have an energy saving feature that would turn off the fan when the condenser isn't running.

We purchased to cool our room, but it does a great job of cooling the entire upstairs!

works wonderful. we have central A/C but we are upstairs and heat rises. Pop is 93 and does not like it cold so in order to sleep comfortably we needed more air. The only issue the part that fits in window does not fit well in ours. need to do quite a few adjustments.

The price was right on this portable air conditioner and cools my upstairs without a problem. The attachment that goes into the window for the vent could use a little work. I had to add some insulation to it to seal the air cracks. The only other issue that I didn't realize with the unit was that it did not have a energy saver mode on it. That would have made it a great purchase.

this works like a champ , keeps my living room and kitchen cool. The only is putting the vent through window . I have pictures windows with side twist out windows on each end , that are vertical so had to make window filers . Not the machines fault .

Hooked this bad boy up in my bedroom, and has really worked wonders. Before making this purchase my apartment felt like a furnace, I had trouble sleeping, and just living in general. I know sleep easy every Summer, as this baby's purr lulls me to sleep.

Cools ok.. has to be set pretty low to keep 250 sq ft 2nd fl bedroom cool. Annoyance is that the hose pops off the back. won’t stay attached to adapter on the rear. Hot air blows up there all day. I leave it on for the dog and coming off defeats the purpose. Paying for all day hot air really burns. Glad summer is almost over. Definitely getting different unit for next year.
