Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv during Black Friday, within the first 4 days, I returned for another one thinking it was just a defective one because the sound cut completely out. Received a new one, within a week, same thing happened! I dealt with it for a couple months, had to keep restarting my tv. I ended up Contacting insignia in which they have me instructions on how to fix the issue which worked! Fast forward another two months, and a two red appeared down my screen. Whelp, now it has turned into multiple black, green, red and blue lines. I am very upset. I’ve bought all 4 TVs I have in my home from Best Buy, even my 43 inch LG tv that is now 12 years old and does not have one single line or dot! There should be not a reason that a tv should only be good for 7 months!!!

Posted .This sound issue can be fixed via FW update and adjusting the sound settings.
Here are the steps:
First part: Update software to latest version.
Step 1: Connect WiFi, go to main menu, select "Settings".
Step 2: Select Device & Software.
Step 3: Select "About".
Step 4: Select Downloading Update.
Step 5: Install the software, TV shows software version.
Second part: Sound setting after software update:
Step 6: Return to main menu, select Settings.
Step 7: Select "Display & Sounds".
Step 8: Select "Audio Output".
Step 9: TV Speaker select ON.
When you finish, the sound should be recovered.

great tv w/ one major issue

However, the sound cuts out contstantly, and you have plug in a 3.5mm connector into the headphone jack to fix it. We just ended up getting a soundbar, and have not had any issues since (connected via 3.5mm headphone jack). i would give this 5 stars if not for the sound issue

However, months after purchasing the TV the volume goes in and out. It does it randomly, and after reading other reviews other people with the same TV complained of the same issue.

The picture quality is far above my previous television (720p). The wife and I were excited that it had FireTV built-in so we did not need our Firestick. I'm sad that I forgot to pick up the Echo Dot that was free with purchase (I was very rushed at the counter).

It has an excellent picture with very good color and I was very surprised and pleased at the loud volume and clarity of the sound it has. No need of a sound bar, at all. It's very easy to add and/or delete my favorite apps to it, too. It has exceeded my expectations.
