Also worked for me playing music through my phone.

This worked pretty well, although, there is a faint buzz at normal volume. Not sure if that is due to the cable or the auxiliary connections. Good temporary fix option until I got the car CD player fixed.

Better Than a Sound Bar

No need to splurge on a Sound Bar.
