I'm a PC gamer so for me I'd like to get a cable that will give me the best performance possible. Initially about a year ago I started out with just an HDMI because I thought that was the best as far as resolution would get. About 4 months ago I purchased a second monitor and realized that while my monitors (I got two of the same kind) could reach a maximum 144Hz, the throughput of the HDMI cable would only allow for 60Hz. I did a bit of further research and learned that a DisplayPort Cable would allow me to further the potential. It did the job and I couldn't believe what I was missing out on as far as refresh rate goes; it's hard to go back to even 60Hz now. Unfortunately, one of my DisplayPort Cables stopped functioning about a week or so back, and so one of my monitors has resorted back to HDMI for the time being. I thought of picking up another one, but I am hesitant to: what I also failed to mention was that I've encountered a lot of screen flickering in the past couple months with these cables. I thought it was possibly my graphics card but I've made sure all my drivers are up to date and I've noticed that I still get some screen flickering on the monitor that the other DisplayPort cable is working for. I don't think I've noticed it on the one with the HDMI cable. However, I cannot use the full 144Hz with the HDMI cable. Bottom line: A solid option of a cable but it's possible for them to burn out quickly and small annoyances keep me from purchasing another.

I recommend getting a DisplayPort cable over an HDMI because the results are amazing, It allows your computer's graphic card and monitor to reach its potential and gives a crisp and clear vision of any game you play, movie you watch or streaming network you prefer.. I am more than satisfied with this purchase and I decided to go and get instead of settling for the stand HDMI!

Needed for connecting monitor to docking station, worked as it should have.

Connect one end to the PC then the other to the monitor. What else you expect? Worth the price tag.

Life saver to get this cable to connect my 4k display to my 4k video card. DisplayPort on both ends made the connection seamless and allowed me to get the highest resolution out of both the card and monitor. I fought another cable (DisplayPort to HDMI) and never got the full resolution; whereas this one was great, right away!

Definitely does the job, and it does it well! Needed this when I bought a second monitor and my GPU at the time only at 1x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort input, so I went out and bought this DisplayPort cable for it. I have not noticed any issues with it, and I sure am hoping it stays that way.
