I bought one for a plane trip to watch a movie on our iPad with my wife. We both had our earbuds plugged in and could barely hear the audio. I did return it and exchanged it for another thinking I had received a faulty one; it did not work well either. It mutes the sound and makes it very difficult to hear.

I recently purchased this item for a road trip I went on. There is nothing better than a few people being able to watch movies from your tablet without annoying the driver and co pilot. Although I didn't use all 5 jacks( only needed 3) I am very pleased with this purchase. I can't speak on any other adapters(due to this one being the only one available in the store at the time). I would recommend this item to anyone and everyone.

works great. i've got a usb dac that i couple it with and the sound is awesome. has the potential to drain your battery more, so keep that in mind. a headphone amplifier or dac would help with that.

Works fine and allows for several people to listen to audio content at once. Was great for listening to audio books on flights with my wife.

My kids and I were able to listen to the same music and books on tape on our international 8 hour flight. The only disadvantage (to us anyway) was the short length of the cord. When one of the headphone lines moved, it pulled the iPhone off of the table. A little longer cord might have created more slack and prevented this. However, some may find the short cord an advantage, as you would not have excess cord to deal with.

When I went into the local store I was disappointed that the splitter that I originally wanted was unavailable. This splitter was a good alternative. Sound quality was not lost due to splitting, but that was with only two headsets plugged in. I look forward to using this in the future and maybe testing it with more devices plugged in.

This product worked great for listening to music with friends, and having multiple pairs of headphones plugged into my phone at the same time. Only drawback was that the music played at significantly lower volume through this splitter, than if the headphones were plugged directly into my iPhone. Still a good product.

I only needed a 2 way splitter, however, when I plugged my earphones into the 2 way, it just didn't feel right. I then tried the Insignia 5 way and it "clicked" in like it should.. The 5 way was on sale for $9.99 which was $3 less than the 2 way so I bought the 5 way..I tried it out with 2 sets of headphones and it works as expected. I may never use more than 2, but I can if I want.

The accessory was inexpensive & could be useful in group settings when you only want those to hear music, comedian, message, ebook excerpts like at a book club. My hearing not the best h headphones block out background noise. Nice in call center for training when listening to calls.

Able to share my movies both on an airplane and in a multi seat van. We were able to view and listen to our movies on a long trip (in a van) without disturbing the driver or other passengers that were watching another movie on a DVD. The headphones not only gave us clear audio (everyone had different brands), we were also able to drown out the other movie playing on the backseat mounted DVD.

purchased this because my previous one was left on a flight. this one does not seem to pass through as clear/loud as the previous one, but the difference is not that severe. I would recommend this though, just might have to turn it up a little higher than you're used to.

My sister and I recently flew from Indy to Florida, and wanted to watch a movie that I had downloaded on my IPad. This splitter allowed us to plug two sets of headphones in at the same time, so that we could watch and both be able to hear the movie. Worked perfectly, and made our trip "fly" right by!

I had to add some speakers to my tv to drown out the sounds of my annoying neighbor's constant foot stomping. The sound quality is great, I haven't experienced any problems with that like other reviews have. I've been using this splitter for two weeks now and it's still working fabulously.

I love this little stereo splitter! I have only ever used it to share audio with one person, I don't think I'll be using it 5-way. I had a good promotion and I had to pay just half the price. Overall, a good one!

It served the purpose. I was able to use this in my reading center with my small groups. It enabled me to have several students plug their listening device in and listen to to a book at the same time with ease.

This is a quality product but a bit more expensive than others available. Unfortunately the others were not in stock at the store. Having the 5 available ports was a plus if you are sharing with several people.

Purchased this splitter for my son's iMac computer so that up to 5 of his friends can connect their headphones and hear the same audio as what my son was hearing, during one of his recording sessions. According to him, this splitter works well.
