Something in the electronics went bad, which we were told was common. Thankfully, we purchased the extended Geek Squad warranty. The warranty covers for replacement up to the original price. We were hoping it would be fixed, but it probably costs more to fix for the company, than to replace.

Posted .I'm sorry to hear that your Insignia 6.7 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry stopped working after two and a half years of good service. It's frustrating when a product's performance declines, especially when it's due to a common issue with the electronics. I appreciate your proactive decision to purchase the extended Geek Squad warranty, which has given you the peace of mind to pursue a replacement. While we would have liked to have been able to repair the dryer, I understand that in this case, it's likely more cost-effective to replace it with a new one.
