DVD would only play in black and white and I had to un/plug cables to switch from DVR to DVD. The new cable made it so that I just have to change the input source on my TV with the remote to switch and it's finally in color again.

I bought this Component HD cable because I got a Samsung Home Therater System and my HDTV doesn't have the optical cable input so I got this cable and connected the audio part to the Home Therater System and cable box and the video part to my HDTV and cable box, it's a little more connecting you have to do but you get the same results as an optical cable and an HDMI cable. It show just like when I had a HDMI cable companies plugged in. If you are limited to tv input like I am, I suggest getting this cable and do the same thing I did. The cable works great and the picture quality is just the same as an HDMI a cable, you don't notice the difference. I am very happy with this purchase.

Ironically all 3 of my HDMI ports went out as a result of a lightning strike/thunder storm, so as a last resort I purchased these component cables to hopefully salvage spending money on a new T.V. and behold they worked. I'll spend $20 over $300-400 any day.

bought it as a tv for the bedroom. picture is great, is easy to use and I love that I can use it to listen to music as well.

I had tried almost everything (I thought), in trying to hook up my dated BluRay player with my dated Panasonic Plasma Viera TV. On the advice of Best Buy Techs, I photographed the backs of each (TV & Blu-Ray). I brought the photos back and a WONDERFUL assistant searched and found me the exact product I needed. I was delighted. Now I could play my cherished Eric Clapton at San Diego DVD!!

I recently receive an old tv from a friend that had basically been written off since it does not have an hdmi cable port. After a quick stop at my local Best Buy my new (old) tv works like a dream. I'm glad Best Buy still carries the stuff I need in store and the employees are so knowledgeable. Thanks Best Buy!

I wanted these cables as they are the best upgrade available for my cable box which does not have HDMI. I did not want to waste money on gold connectors and I wanted a short run of about 3-4 ft. length. These were the closest that I could find in my Best Buy store. The picture is fine. I doubt I would notice much of an improvement if I used gold tip cables or even HDMI cables with the TV. However, if I was watching a 4K HD TV, I would spend the money on the best HDMI cables.

trying to hook up an older piece of video gear and needed RGB cables but didnt need $50 cables to do it....these did the job for cheap and the video looks as good as the high priced cables for a lot less. maybe not as durable but they arent getting tugged on so its all good.

A very savvy Sales Associate steered me to these connectors for my old Sony TV and DVD player. It was the perfect solution and the attitude of the SA was stellar. Really pleased with this Best Buy shopping experience!

It worked like magic. I was able to make my Yamaha surround sound with cd & dvd player fully functional again with my new HD television set. Thanks to one of the "geeks" working at the store that pointed out the correct cables.

I got this for my mom. She has an older vcr and wanted to attach to an HD tv. This works better than the regular yellow, white and red cabling.

My HDMI port broke on my bluray player, and this was the next best alternative work perfect a lot cheaper than having to replace my bluray player. I'm really happy with that it works great would definitely recommend to other buyers.

Used in conjunction with my audio cables, I now have the HD I love on my older TV. It only has 2 HDMI inputs and I have 3 HD devices.

Ran out of HDMI inputs on my TV so used these. Seem to be good quality and well shielded.

I was disappointed I couldn't use my DVD player until I got these... Now, i can finally dump my VHs tapes and watch my dvd's now!
