I like this digital optical audio cable,very easy to install.

This Digital Optical Audio Cable worked just fine for what I needed it for.

Insignia - 6' Digital Optical Audio Cable works great for me. I used it with Insignia - Digital Optical/Coaxial to Analog Converter Audio Box! I changed the name a little and I put the Audio in there just take audio out and it should work as the name is! I put audio in there because that is how it is working for me! The Insignia - 6' Digital Optical Audio Cable is connected to my 4K TV and then to Insignia - Digital Optical/Coaxial to Analog Converter Audio Box. Then there are only two RCA connection on that box which is then connected to the sound RCA inputs on my Receiver/Amplifier! Now for the price of this Insignia - 6' Digital Optical Audio Cable I do not believe you can go wrong! I am sure you can spend more for other light cables! I just do not see why you would! I would just tell you to not make sharp bends in the cable! Reason, is it is fiber optic cable and all are made with glass and that can break if bent to sharply! Other than that I have never had that problem and this Insignia - 6' Digital Optical Audio Cable work great for me and the price was right! Hope this helps.

We recently purchased a new tv and realized it has the option for a sound bar. The sound bar required a digital optical cable, which made me nervous. Went and got this gem and realized it's AWESOME. Enhances the sound quality, it's incredibly easy to use, the length is very accommodating, and it works!

Recently bought a new LG 4K TV and went to hook the audio out to my older receiver and...nothing. Couldn't figure out why I was getting no sound the did The Googling. Turns out the new TV has digital audio out and my older receiver wouldn't convert that and you need this thingamabob. Hooked it up and voila. Easy to hook up, good instructions, reasonably priced. What can I really say, it's simple optical cable. For those not familiar with how it works, the optic cable carries light through the thin translucent wire. Personally, I do not see how a more expensive cable carries light better than these cables. I bought two, one for my optical CD player and I initially used the second cable to create my own ARC from my smart TV to my receiver. Now that I learned my TV has the ARC feature I no longer need to use the second optic cable. My music and surround sound is fantastic. I highly recommend saving your money and purchase these cables instead of the so called high end more expensive cables.

Got this since I bought a Samsung sound bar and you can really only have one thing for HDMI output to the surround sound bar, so I thought I would try this digital optical cable. much better quality than an auxillary cable and it works perfect.

Do you need an optical audio cable? If yes, go to #2; if no, go to #6. 2.) Do you like to save money when reasonable to do so? If yes, go to #3; if no, go to #6. 3.) Do you like no-frills, simple to use items that cost less than over-priced name brands that do the same thing? If yes, go to #4; if no, go to #6. 4.) Can you live without this while waiting for it to come in the mail? If yes, go to #5; if no, go to #6. 5.) Yes, buy this! See my reasons below! 6.) No, don't buy this! Like the magic 8-ball used to say, "Outlook not so good." If you made it to #5 in the adventure, congratulations! I foresee an affordable, quality cable in your future! Honestly just check out the name of the product: Insignia™ - 6' Digital Optical Audio Cable - Black. Let's do a breakdown: it's made by Insignia, and it's a basic cable (i.e. - it's black, nothing special, just the Insignia logo), so there's 1/6th of the item name. It is, in fact, a digital audio toslink cable, so there's 2/3rd of the item name. And lastly, the length does measure out to 6 feet, so good on Insignia for having a good measuring technician (is that a real job title? I volunteer as tribute if it is.) -- but that's the last 1/6th of the item name. I'm no mathematician, but 1/6 + 1/6 + 2/3 = 6/6, which reduces down to 1 so we're all accounted for in the item name. Was this review long for no reason? Yes. But did I have fun writing it? Yes! Was it helpful to you? Hopefully yes, and in that case hit the little yes below! I had tried using a smaller cable which connected my TV and stereo using the using the digital audio converter box but, the sound just was not what I was looking for. I switched to this cable since it was a larger cable and the difference is sound was fantastic. Now I have my true 5.1 surround sound keeping my analog equipment. This cable makes a difference. Don't use the smaller cables you won't be happy.

Little by little, I've been able to enjoy superior sound from my Internet ready streaming HDTV with Bluetooth Samsung tower speakers in my man-cave. This 6ft optical cable allows me to place front speakers where I want to place them alongside high end surround sound Weylan Cutler 5.1 home theater speaker system which allows me iPlay placement around the room for my favorite streaming channels for NFL & FIFA sports events, music & movie libraries in the cloud or all of my media storage devices. GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE!!!

I was trying to connect my Sony TV through a receiver to external speakers and found this 6' Digital Optical Audio Cable on sale so I bought it. It is a simple, even cheap looking, but works just as well as my son's much more expensive looking cable that is wrapped in some kind of braided cloth material. I am delighted with it.

Optical cables are expensive, so this product is the lower cost solution if you need to use optical for your setup. Works as expected, and quality is as expected for the price point. I would not suggest this cable if you are going to be plugging it in and moving it a lot. In most cases you just plug in the cable and forget it.

I purchased the optical cable to hook up my Samsung sound bar. I had the HDMI output to the sound bar, but was unable to turn the sound bar on and off with the TV remote. After installing the optical cable which was simple, it works just fine. I believe the quality is better than the HDMI cable as well.

The cable snapped right in to my BOSE Sound Touch and SONY Blue Ray Player. helped me conserve a HDMI port on my DVD player and yet enjoy great sounding content through my BOSE. Very satisfied with the purchase. Picked it up at BB.

I needed a particular cable for my new soundbard and this was perfectly sufficient. Once again, associates tried to get me to buy a more expensive cable. I didn't. I'm glad. That night I saw a national news piece on why buying more expensive cables is throwing money away. Agree.

Great sound easy to use low price sounds much better than analog cable
