I don't know much about optical cables but I do know not to waste a bunch of money on the expensive optic cables. This was an in-expensive product and it works perfect.

cable is very good quality and it is a reasonable price for someone looking for a bargain. I cannot tell the difference between this cable and a very high end optical cable.

These cables are terrific! We have great sound with our Smart TV through our Denon Receiver. Less costly than most cables but their performance is really great.

I have an older home theater system that does not have HDMI ports, so I needed a cable to connect to my t.v. for surround sound. This optical cable was much better than composite or component cables. The sound is crystal clear and it was very easy to connect. I would recommend this cable as an alternate if you don't have HDMI. It's clearly much better than composite or component cables.

Optical cables can get pretty expensive. This one was a good price. It's quality is simple, but sound. I also like that it had the attachable tip cover as well.
