Great Cable

I bought a monitor with DP & the BB salesman told me this would work plugging the HDMI into the laptop going to the DP on the monitor. Didn't get any signal. It only works when the DP sends to HDMI.

Great, if it is what you need

Later, I lucked out and found a DIFFERENT HDMI adapter at a Goodwill. Your results may vary. I however drew an issue where my screen would take FOREVER to be recognised, without restarting the computer. Also, it rearranged my desktop every time. Find something else.

Does the job well, but a little pricey

That said, this cable works "as advertised"--solid fit in the connections and apparently does the job--no connectivity issues. I've bought numerous Insignia TVs and other products over the years, and trust the brand. No need to spend the extra dough on Monster or whatever.
