The raspberry pi module provides a HDMI output, which is of course not supported by my HP monitor which has adopted Display Port. I fully expected to be out of luck and was very pleased to find that Bust Buy carried an adapter cable that didn't require any special hardware. Works like a charm. My only reservation was the cost. This is after all just a monitor cable.

My job does,,, so I've gotten used to those. Got the urge one day to try it at home.....never going back ... two big 'ole screens from now on and I LOVE THEM. Woof woof from a young again pup!!!

The cables were a bit pricey. Then I noticed those cables in the corner of the shelf at a quarter of the price. I took a chance and bought this insignia cable. Works great over a year now.

I didn’t know that dell computers use a monitor plug in and not just a hdmi. The product is good, the expertise from Best Buy and recommendation was great!
