    The cable works for hdmi from your graphics card to dp to monitor. I could not get to work dp from graphics card to hdmi on monitor. I tried several cards, motherboard and monitors could not get to show picture from dp to hdmi. Though it works hdmi to dp and comes through at low resolution for whatever reason. Did try to adjust resolution but it would not display higher then 720p with this cable. When I first got the cable I had to get a friend to help me out I wanted dual monitors and had purchase the cable for to hookup to monitors that only had hdmi. After several hours of troubleshooting and uninstalling stuff we couldn’t get it to work. It wasn’t till I purchase new monitors with dp that I was like hey for laughs let’s see if it works hdmi to display port and it did. Reverse it and it no longer work.
