Not all monitors have the latest version of HDMI connectors which are found on newer laptops but which are still in use on desktop PCs. This cable permits you to easily use large format monitors with the newest technology. A great find at my local Best Buy.

I purchased this item because I was using it for a secondary monitor and my desktop computer only provided one hdmi port and one dvi port. The monitor didn’t support dvi so I needed an adapter and selected this one which has provided excellent quality.

While this Blu-Ray player does have a lot of apps and features I am using it with a smart TV that way out classes it. Its perfect due to how cheap it is to use with a set up that does not require hard-wiring for internet. I was specifically looking for Wifi player in the beginning then it dawned on me I will never use any of the features so I switched gear and found this little gem. Under $50 and it play most formats that I will use. Since all the tvs in the house are smart I will be getting more of these in the future. I also like that it is rather small so I can hide it in a bookshelf along with the remote. Again if you are not relying on the apps it provides because you have a smart tv then you are good. If not you just need to run a internet cord to it and all is good.

This was exactly what I needed to get my new computer to work. My old computer's cables weren't compatible with my new computer so I had to get a DVI-D to HDMI cable for my new computer to work.

I bought this dvi to hdmi cable from bestbuy to connect my mini Mac to my 4k sony TV. I must say, it did the work perfectly. If there is a better word beyond perfect, then I would attribute it to this Dvi to hdmi cable.

This product worked very well for my setup. It was the correct length and was easy to install through the wall that I needed to go through.BEST BUY team member Roland was very helpful, and kind in my request to find a single unit that I needed.

Easily adapt a computers hdmi output to the input if a kvm extender (dvi) and worked perfectly. The connectors are not big and bulky which made them easy to use in the right environment that my equipment lives.

Although I was initially searching for a USB display adapter, essentially, a USB-to-HDMI or DVI adapter/cable/converter, I didn't found it, so I decided to buy this. Works as expected, a good quality cable without gold plated unnecessary absurdencies. Maybe for the price, I would liked that it included plastic covers since I carry it on my backpack, and dirt may got inserted on the DVI pins while transporting it.

I was almost sure i was out of luck. None of the new tvs have DVI-D to plug in to,Allowing you to hookup home computers anymore..For the money,A REAL GAME CHANGER!!!

Does what I needed it to do. Connected an older computer with a DVI output to HDMI so that I could connect it to a newer monitor. Just FYI for those that don't know, sound does not transmit.

This cord works well with connecting my Lenovo Computer monitor to my HP laptop. There were no connection issues and very easy to use. I highly recommend this cord for connecting old monitors to new computers.

I need 3 monitors for my work computer and did not have enough DVI slots. With this cable I was able to use an available HDMI slot and my problem was solved. Very happy!

I purchased this to be able to use my existing monitor with the new computer. Took alot of research and calls to best buy before driving 25 miles to the store to get my cord. Was happy there was an adaptor. Not looking forward to having to buy new monitor

This is the right cable to get if you want to connect a computer to a smart TV -- my TV is the Insignia 40 smart TV. I plugged into the DVI-D output port on the computer and the HDMI input connection and it worked perfectly. Remember to assign it on the smart TV.

Cable works well. Was necessary due to the DVI video output on a dock. The cable was a bit high in price, but that's the trade of for the convenience of getting it immediately instead of waiting for shipping.

The cable that came with the monitor apparently wasn't working correctly so the knowledgeable people at my local best buy helped me find this cable which was exactly what I needed. I haven't had any issues with it since.

I had to replace this cord last minute as my dog ripped my other cord from the laptop. I was hesitant to buy this brand as I haven't used it in the past. I got home, plugged it up and works great. I now have a monitor attached to my laptop.

I have purchased several Best Buy private label products (Insignia) and have never had an issue. I commonly use these adapters as an IT subcontractor for businesses that have older monitors without HDMI built-in. Gret product.

I was looking for a way to connect an older external monitor to my new MacBook Pro for a bigger working screen, This cable allowed me to connect the monitor DVI-D cable to the HDMI port on the computer. Sound is not transmitted via the connection.

I switched from PC to MAC, and bought a Mac Mini from BestBuy; the adapter allowed me to plug in to my existing monitor and Geek helped me fine tune the settings, and now I'm all set! Getting an open box adpater worked great too! saved a lot
