This charging station is excellent and I like all the different options it offers for charging. 3 USB c port and a regular USB port offer plenty of different options for multiple devices. Even has enough power to charge my laptop and phone at the same time. It also offers two regular ac outlets on the opposite side. Another plus is the non stick grip on the bottom of the unit that helps it stay in place. The cord is only 5 feet in length I wish it was a little bit longer at least 6 feet but it's still very usable on my desk.

This device is exactly what I needed for my night stand. Much like a lot of people today I have quite a few devices that I use regularly. I have my smart watch, my phone, a tablet and a laptop. And like most people I only have one wall outlet within a reasonable distance to my night stand. Up until I got this charging station I was using a power strip with a bunch of charging adapter plugged into it which turned into just a big clunky mess behind my night stand, and probably a fire hazard if I'm being honest. Anyways, on to the charging station. There are two USB-C ports on here which are designated as 70w. One has a laptop designator on it, the other a phone/tablet. Plugging in two phones on these USB-C ports results in both phones charging at 'Super Fast Charging 2.0' speeds as Samsung likes to put it. But there is a caveat to this. If you plug in a laptop and a phone that supports 25-35w charging, you get only 35w per USB-C port. So the total power output between the two USB-C ports is only 70w. This is perfectly fine though for you mobile devices and they charge rather quickly. The problem only arises when you try to use a laptop and a phone at the same time. When I did that, my laptop went into a lower performance mode, warned me of the lower charging state, and the battery kept charging. Though I do believe that the battery would have simply discharged slower rather than built up a charge given the spec of the laptop. Now, when using just the laptop with the 70w USB-C port and no other device the laptop runs sets itself to 'Best Performance' mode and behaves as normally. But I did notice that while doing processor intensive work over an extended period of time (in my case building/compiling a large program) the battery will discharge, albeit very slowly. I compiled chromium which takes over an hour on my laptop and I lost 2% of my battery. In this, your milage will vary. My laptop comes with a 120w USB-C charging block and has a dedicated GPU so it consumes more power than some other thin and lights will. If your laptop is a lower power device I don't foresee having any of these issues. Of course, all of this is avoidable by using the actual charger for the laptop and plugging that into the hub. I saw no change in the quick charging USB-C ports while using the charging block for my laptop in the AC ports on the hub. Finally, aesthetics. This is a decent looking hub. Its not an eye sore, its ergonomic and doesn't really stand out on my nightstand. It has two rubber like pads on the bottom to help give it some traction so its not moving around, but its also pretty light so the benefit of those is kinda lost. I found mine did move around with movement of the cables. Additionally, because of the lack of weight, the charging block for my laptop when plugged in to the AC port causes the device to tilt and not rest on the bottom as it should. This could have been solved with a wider base, some feet (which I might 3d print) or even some weights inside the hub to help hold it down. Its a minor thing and doesn't take away from the functionality though. Oh, and one last thing, I would have preferred a black option. The white is catchy and looks good, but it collects dust very easily which stands out on the solid white device and its glossy surface by the ports. Overall, very happy with the device and glad I get to do away with the chargers I had behind my night stand.

Great for a Minimal Desk Setup!

The Isignia 6-in-1 charging station is great for a secondary or minimal desk or work-from-home setup. The charging station has a minimal design. You get a decent-sized cord to plug into the wall. The triangle design is interesting. The two AC outlets can charge any larger item. I had no problems while plugging into these outlets. The triangle design kind of forces you to turn the outlet a certain way. So you either will have your AC connection cords sticking out, or you will have your USB cords sticking out. Depending on where your outlet is set up. Now the USB outlets are probably going to be what most people need them for. You can charge up a laptop up to 70W. I was able to charge a Windows PC with no graphics card. The 15W USB-C can charge your phone. The USB-A can also be used to charge whatever device you choose. The only negative I would say is the triangle design. It would have been nice to have an AC outlet on both sides. With the two USB-Cs on one side. With the last USB-C and USB-A on the other side.

The Insignia 6-in-1 charging station is handy. The ability to charge 3 USB-C devices, 1 USB-A, and two three prong electrical devices in a station this size is really cool. If your laptop / Chromebook can handle a 70w USB-C charging, then all you need is a sufficient USB-C cable instead of a bulky adapter. When I connected my Samsung Galaxy S22 up to the PD 70w Max USB-C port, my Samsung phone entered super-fast charging. I cannot say enough how nice it is to have one convenient station to charge my tablet, phone, watch, and power my alarm clock. I really appreciate the charging station’s layout. The USB ports are neatly spaced and the traditional outlets on the back are rotated in a way to support a larger charging brick or to keep plugs from interfering with one another. Thanks to the charging station’s small size, you can easily throw the station into a backpack or travel bag. In my usage, it never got hot. But that is all to be expected with a Gallium Nitride charger. The rubberized grips on the base kept the station from moving around. While the thick five-foot extension cable easily reached my outlets. Only drawback is that the cable is very thick. One thing I was not expecting was how wattage is split among devices depending on how many devices you have plugged in. If using one port to charge, the first two ports provide up to 70W. The last two ports provide up to 15W. Where things get interesting is when you start plugging more devices in. The included documentation breaks down the various combinations of ports you could use, but, for instance, if you had two USB-C devices in the USB-C PD 70w Max area, the power would be split 45w and 20w between the first and second USB-C port. If you plug in three USB-C devices, first USB-C port drops to 30W, second stays at 20W and the third USB-C port drops to 12w. If you plug in four USB devices, the last two devices outside the PD 70W max area share 15w. In practical terms, that means your devices may not charge as quickly depending on how many devices you have plugged in. If I had more than one USB-C device, my phone would no longer have a Super-Fast charge. It may be a bit much to expect you can charge all your devices at once at top speeds. I still think I would just use one of the traditional power outlets on the back of the station for a laptop, but that is just me. But still, it is nice having all my devices charging off of one charging station. I think this is a handy little device. It is great for the student or traveler. It is good for a small desk area or end table. Keep power draw expectations in check, and I think you will like this station a great deal. Recommended

Works really well, I love the usb charger the most not I don’t have 3-4 wall blocks attached to the extension but just charging cables. The usb charges my watch, iPad and iPhone without any problems and the times are pretty fast. I just wish it had one more power outlet. You have to position the extension just right before plugging anything to it so it can sit level and not tip over.

Insignia™ - 6-in-1 70W Charging Station with 2 AC outlets, 3 USB-C and 1 USB ports for laptops, tablets, smartphones This 6-in-1 charging stations has the power and port distribution to serve a variety of travel and home charging needs. Our family will put it to use. Here’s the question I ask myself to evaluate how useful the Insignia 70W charging station will be for me. And by useful, I want to know which chargers I can set aside and use this device, instead. Reviewing the set of ports that Insignia has provided, I can see a perfect matchup to either my set or my wife’s similar set of devices as long as we’re trying to charge our tablet (iPad), a phone (iPhone), and a Watch and Earbuds. Insignia suggests that even while using all 4 ports with these devices, it can provide 30+20 watts from the first 2 USB-C ports (That’s my iPad and phone at an average, not fast, charging speed). And the 3rd USB-C port and USB-A ports can share 15 Watts, meaning a watch and earbuds can also be charged, even if not at their fastest speeds. I’ve plugged this identical collection of devices into the Insignia 6-in-1. It all works. Our traveling kit is now a bit less complicated. NOTES: I’ve looked up power requirements for my collections of Apple devices and some earbuds. My research often listed similar models, with power demands that were all very close to those listed below, so you should find these helpful. My MacBook Pro 14” 2021 (It’s power supply provides 96W). So, to begin with, I will want to bring my Laptop charger and plug into the AC outlet. Power is only limited by the house outlet, which should approach 1500 watts from the AC. So, no worry. from the AC outlets here. My Apple iPad (Pro 11 2021) wants approx 20 watts for fast charging (but will use a 30W. My iPhone 14 Plus requires 25-27 Watts for max charging speed, but 20 Watt charging is fine, if slower. My Watch 7 requires approx 2.4 Watts. Technics EAH-AZ80 charging case should require under 15 watts. SUMMARY: Insignia has thought through how users like those in my family use their electronics. I do think they’ve been a bit optimistic about charging a modern laptop in addition to all those other gadgets, but as long as you do the wattage math for yourself, you can avoid disappointment. The other issue I have, even though it is perfectly justifiable, is the heavy, thick cable Insignia uses for powering this charger. This wire tail definitely wags this puppy. It surely adds to safety, but it can be frustrating to wrangle. In every other way, the Insignia charging station works for us. This works nicely for us.

This outstanding 6-in-1 charging station allows you to power up to six (6) devices simultaneously. A charging station with many options helps with the clutter chargers for a clutter-free charging experience. The cable length is about five (5) feet long, and it is heavy-duty (SJT, 3x14AWG, 105°, 300V, VW-1, C(ETL)). The flat plug head allows for a discrete connection and any furniture to be pushed flat against the wall. The base charging station feels and weighs heavy-duty, and it has rubber pads on the bottom to prevent the station from moving around. The placement and the design of the outlets (output) and the USB (output) allow enough room to plug six (6) devices simultaneously. There are two (2) USB- There are three USB-C ports with enough power (70W max) to charge smartphones, tablets, and laptops quickly. There is another USB-C port for (1) low-profile (15W max) to charge an additional smaller device (such as a smartwatch or earbuds). One (1) USB port (12W max) charges additional devices. Two (2) AC outlets exist for 2- or 3-prong electrical devices. The GaN technology with this charging station provides fast charging while limiting the risk of overheating. Overall, I like to use this charging station because of the convenient layout of all the ports and AC outlets, which provides clutter-free charging.

Insignia did a great job with the placement of the A/C outlets on the 6-in-1 70W charging station. One of my pet peeves is having a large electric plug that renders the nearest outlet useless, but the design here ensures that overlap doesn’t happen. Another plus is that I was able to charge all of my Apple products at what I think is a decent speed simultaneously using the 3 USB-C ports and having my HP laptop and a personal air purifier plugged into the A/C outlets. The flat design of the station’s plug makes it easy to place in wall outlets behind furniture and the 5-foot length of the power cord provides flexibility for placement. Though I am sure it is necessary to be designed so, I am, however, not a fan of how thick the cord is. I’m still not sure how I feel about the station’s triangular shape because I think it would be better if all the ports and outlets were on one side for stationary use anywhere other than on desk or some sort of workstation. But neither the cord thickness nor the triangle shape would stop me from recommending this charging station. Now, if Insignia made it in black to better fit my décor, I would be highly pleased!

Works great. This product allows me to have multiple devices charging from one outlet, and even then provides two outlets in addition to. It has four USB ports - three type C (max of 70W, 70W, 15W) and one type A (12W max), with a combined max output of 70 watts. The cable is very nice quality, it feels very smooth and is a pretty good length (5 feet). One mild annoyance is that the high-power USB-C ports aren't compatible with Samsung Fast Charge 2.0 (45 Watts) but that's not much of an issue in regular use. The size of the plug itself is very nice, it's rather compact so if you need to plug anything in next to it it shouldn't cause any issues. The cord comes out the bottom right side so depending on the arrangement of plugs (for example if you were to plug this into a power strip of some type, or plug this in the top a/c outlet) it could have some fitment issues, but I haven't encountered any as of yet. I believe it would only be an issue with plugs of unique sizes and shapes. I appreciate that the a/c outlets are at different angles, it gives you a bit more freedom to work with angled plugs. Nice little touch.

My initial impression of this product was that it felt sturdy, but bulky. The whole thing is noticably heavy. The power cord seems thicker than necessary. And the fact that all the outlets are at an angle means that it is difficult to tuck it anywhere out of the way. However, the plastic feels nice to the touch. The power cord is flexible, and the weight of the charger itself is enough to keep it sitting in place without getting knocked around (some grip pads on the bottom help with this too). Taking into consideration the high power output of the charger, the weight is not at all unreasonable. In fact, this 70 watt charger is barely heavier than the 30 watt charger I used most often in the past. I usually charge my devices on a regular schedule so I don’t often have “charging emergencies” where I need an ultra-fast charger. Nonetheless, sometimes it is very nice to be able to charge quickly. As a comparison, this charger can charge my MacBook Air (M1) to an 80% charge in less than 90 minutes—even while I am using it—something that might have taken over 3 hours with the charger that came with the computer. Be aware, though, that the device specifications indicate 70 watts is available only to one device. If you try to charge multiple devices simultaneously, the power will be split across the devices (see the manual for details). I did not test the actual power output, but this lines up with my experience. After a few days of trying this out, it found a permanent home in the corner of my desk. While I don’t like the mess of cables coming out at all angles, it takes the place of an extension cord and three power blocks. So it still ends up cleaner than what I had before. The angled ports are great if you expect to plug and unplug regularly, but if you just want to connect it and forget it, the shape may not be ideal. I can say the same about the choice to orient the AC outlets perpendicular to each other: it looks like a weird choice, and might make things look cluttered, but for the odd power bricks that never fit right on other devices this could end up being just what you need. The one unusual behavior I’ve seen is that once in a while (sometimes as often as every few minutes, but it is random as far as I can tell) my laptop registers that the power supply disappears and then reconnects. The charge icon switches off and goes to battery power for a second, then chimes and goes back to “charging.” I don’t know if this is a flaw in this charger, or if there’s a loose connection somewhere, or if it’s something else. But I’ve never seen this happen with any other charger, so I’m a little perplexed. As long as this isn’t a regular problem I can just chalk it up to some random outside issue. Ease of use: 5/5 Build quality: 5/5 Overall design: 4/5 (although it could be perfect in the right setup)

This is a great product. We took it on our spring break vacation, and it was very handy. We used it in our hotel room. Some rooms don't have enough plugs to charge all of our devices. Thats where this charging station came in handy. The ports are very well placed and useful. The extension is long enough to use anywhere. My kids were able to charge their tablets, phones and earbuds. The material looks very durable and looks like it would last a very long time. Based on this experience, I would buy another unit and would recommend it to my peers. This handy charger will be an essential part of our traveling list. My wife also liked this charger she feels as she needs one at her nightstand to charge her devices. One other thing to add is the USB C charge points makes it easier to charge without a need for an AC plug. This makes for less clutter and cleaner look. Based on this review experience, my daughter also wants one on her nightstand to charge her devices. She has a MacBook, phone and airpods she could use to charge.

This charging station is perfect and covers all the basic necessities in terms of charging and powering. Nowadays everything needs charging and there is never enough outlets and USB wall chargers to go around. Compound that with the fact that the state of electronics is in transition between USB-A to USB-C and it feels like I add to the charging chaos every time I get a new device. It seems Insignia heard and answered the call. The layout is well-thought out, especially the section with the AC outlets. The asymmetrical outlets solve the issue that is so common when trying to connect several AC plugs, which is that an odd-shaped plug or a wider plug block off the neighboring outlet. So I am very grateful at the ingenuity and creativity used by Insignia when designing this charging station. It comes with a 5-foot cord that is just the right size to get to the outlet I am using and bring it up to the bedside without being excessive that I have extra cord just lying about. The wall plug for this charging station is low profile with the cord coming off at an angle so in is highly unobtrusive. I was able to get it into a cramped space with no issue and it allowed the plug below its proper space to stay plugged in. Additionally, the rubberized feet really help keep it in place on a tabletop. I have charged and hooked up several devices at a time and have all charged faster than expected. What is great is the GaN technology used to prevent overheating while fast charging brings a lot of peace of mind that my devices will remain safe. One thing to note is that it makes a very faint high-pitched noise so I will not be keeping it too close to the bedside for this reason as such noises bother me at night. It is not a high as some others I have but worth mentioning for sensitive sleepers like me. Honestly, this charging station is very useful both at home and while traveling due to its size and versatility. I definitely plan to take it with me on trips because it eliminates the need for various charging blocks and charges quickly. I wholeheartedly recommend this.

The more devices we get, the more places we need to be able plug things in to charge. At work, I had amassed quite the array of devices I need somewhere to plug them in. Insignia, to the rescue. This 6 - 1 70W Charging Station, with 2 AC outlets, 3 USB C outlets and 1 USB A outlet is just perfect. It doesn't take much space on my desk at work. The plug it comes with is beefy and 5 feet long and I particularly like how it is offset, so you can plug something underneath it if you need to. The USB C ports are as follows: 2 PD 70 watts and 1 PD 15 watts. The PD 15 watt USB C is perfect for something like an Apple Watch or wireless earbud charger, while the more powerful ports can charge more power hungry devices like laptops. And the USB A port is 12 watt max. This is really nicely made and the latest GaN technology, which provides more power reliably than traditional silicone chargers and it also supports PPS (Programable Power Supply), which lets your chargers intelligently adjust the charging speed based on its needs. All this goodness in a small, compact and well made device, which honestly is beyond reasonably priced, makes it a standout Charging Station. Insignia, hit a home run with this. Yes, they did!

Great charging station for sure. Has all of the usual culprits including USB, C, up to 70 W for fast charging. Included are two AC outlets which is a great help. Good job!
