The port on the Surface Pro would not accept a regular HDMI cable and this Mini Display port has been amazing for my computing needs.

The connection registers on my PC but the screen is black. I tried both cords and both with the same results. I finally purchased an Amazon Basic HDMI to Mini Display cord for half the price and it works perfectly. Not sure what the difference is but at least i saved money. Will have to return these 2 cords I purchased. The cords did look well made and sturdy.
