This lives in an area with little to no light and the bright white allows me to be able to see the holes properly with no light. Cord is the perfect length not too long that it gets in the way and no so short that it pulls or makes you have to move things to reach it. And now I have a spare if needed for little more than one itself would have cost.

Its kind of wide so if you intend to use it behind a dresser or desk it may stick out from the wall roughly 2 inches causing your furniture to stick out unless you have a gap/space or something at the bottom of your furniture to keep this from happening.
