If you don't have one of these, thats SAD!

I am a 58 year old male who likes to cook, I don't like to COOK. I don't have this exact brand, anymore, I used to until my neighbor borrowed it, LOL! I am sad I did not catch this one on sale, to replace the one I had, but the principal is all the same. A pressure/multi-cooker is the best invention I have seen in decades! They replace 8 to 10 appliances, seriously, they do! I was totally amazed at all the things you can do with these since I got my first one 2 years ago, which is still going strong over at the neighbors by the way! I was glad to turn them on to the thing last fall, just got tired of borrowing it back and forth. The thing I love most about mine. You can put 5 cups of water into it, a 2.5 LB., frozen pot roast, seasoning. Run it on "MEAT", high, setting 45 minutes. While that is going on, slice up the vegetables. When the first 45 minute cycle stops, de-pressurize, throw in the veggies, and run it on MEAT, High, for another 45 minute cycle. No babysitting, stirring, or fussing required, just do what I said and everything comes out fantastic! If you want the roast a little rare on the inside just do the second cycle on MEAT Medium 25 mins. The hilarious part is, a man cant mess up dinner, gee who knew! This is just ONE of the easy peasy things you can do with these things! Trust me, you will use it once and wonder how you ever got along with out one!

I had heard so much about electric pressure cookers in the weeks prior to Black Friday, that I really wanted to get one, but didn't want to spend $90 or even $70 on one! When I saw this one for $40 on BF I jumped on it(I even ordered one for my mom for Christmas!). At first, I was nervous, because Insignia is basically Best Buy's generic brand, but I have to say, this thing is made really well. It doesn't seem cheap at all. I've made rice, goulash, sausage and potatoes, and a ham in it and everything came out perfectly...in about half an hour. The rice was even flavorful and chewy, but not crunchy. The goulash noodles were perfect al dente. I'm especially excited that it has a quinoa function(compared to IP's porridge function...wtf is porridge haha). And the saute function heats up really fast! I have a feeling this will be replacing my slow cooker and I'm sure my mom is going to absolutely love it!

For some odd reason I really wanted to make 15 bean soup. I found a recipe online, which an instant pot was used, so of course I had to buy one. I looked at many different brands and this one was rated pretty high and had mostly good comments. What pushed me over the edge to buy was that it was on sale at a great price! Well...it was well worth every penny and more! I loath cooking, but this makes it so easy I kind of enjoy it. My 15 bean soup didn't turn out the best. Not because of the cooker, but because of the cook. My second dish was over Thanksgiving holiday when my kids were back home. I made quartered chicken over rice. I got compliments from both kids saying it was so moist and tasty. I broiled the "fall off the bone" perfect chicken after pressure cooking to get a nice crisp skin on top. I was told I have to make this dish every time they come home! Now that is a huge compliment. Weird thing is, I look forward to making it again. Heck with the Insta Pot, get this one!

A good cooker (info about presets included)

I saw this at a really good price and decided to go for it. Main gripe is the same as everyone else - the manual is inadequate. I tested the preset buttons today and am including those if they help. Most people cook on manual, but I still wanted to know what the presets were. So now I know. Have had this a couple of days and used it a few times. All good and exactly as I expected, and I can use any Instant Pot recipe in this successfully. As recommended, I did buy an extra interior pot and extra seals so as not to infuse savory odors into sweet products.

I’ve had this for close to a year now and love it. I even got coverage on it cause it was so cheap. I hesitated buying at first thinking do I really need it? But have made so many things in it. I got it on sale so it was totally worth it. Stews, rice, soups, meatloaf, even corned beef and cabbage. I had a stovetop pressure cooker but rarely used it cause it was kind of scary honestly with all the pressure building on the stove plus you had to stand over it constantly. Also, hard to figure out how long to cook stuff. I couldn’t believe when I set this electric model. Just press a button and walk away! I didn’t hear any noise from it either. Very convenient! I highly recommend it.

After hearing some friends rave about their Instant Pot, I saw this on a Best Buy Deal of the Day for less than 1/2 the price of the Instant Pot and bought it. At first, my wife was skeptical because she remembered all the hassle her mother had with her pressure cooker decades ago. Cooking with this thing is a breeze! We have been trying out recipes we found online and love the convenience of being able to cook a whole meal at once without having to heat up the whole kitchen with our oven. Cleanup is quick and easy. Some have complained about the lack of instructions, but if you look around online, there are lots of sites with helpful hints.

This pressure cooker is new to me; I was afraid to use it. After watching a few videos on You Tube on how to use the pressure cooker; I was finally ready to use it and I realized it was very easy to use and cleaning is definitely easy. I use it to cook about three or four times a week. It is an excellent cooker and I have used it to cook, soups. beans, stews, rice, vegetables, casseroles and all my meats and all of the dishes turned out great. It is so convenient to use and it makes life easier. This is one of the best product I have ever had. The quality is great and I have never had a problem with it.The price was great and I recommend others to try it. You will have no regrets.

I did a lot of searching before buying this model. I looked at the instant pot brand and couldn't stomach the price. I found this one and reviews looked great, so I gave it a try. I have had so much fun with this since I picked it up! I've made frozen chicken in 5mins! I made a whole chicken in 24mins. Misissippi roast in 60mins. Tonight I made chili in 5mins! So many recipes on pinterest. Highly recommend!! It's so big I don't really have an easy place to store it; but we've been using it every night so it stays on the counter!

We bought one of our selves, and bought 2 more for Christmas gifts and couldn't be happier with our choice, when it was a hot deal of the day for $50 each. This is a great deal even if it was full price. We even bought the steel cooking pot, it cleans up easily and cooks food evenly and in no time, we can literally cook a pot of chilly in about an hour for a large family. We are still figuring out some of the settings. For anyone that gets it is sure to please. It retains the moisture very well when you are cooking. If you are thinking about getting this, just do it.

What an amazing product. Cooks to perfection. The manual is useless except for basic information. I'm getting all of my recipes online and thank God for that. I would be lost without it. The manual does not tell you what the cooking present times are so I am going to reprogram those based off of the size of meats I usually cook.( Ex: a 3 pound beef roast needs about 70 minutes.) The manual does tell you how to reprogram those pre-set times. Once I have that done.....the sky is the limit!!!

Love it. 100% recommend. Quality is great, it could not be easier to use, and if I'm being completely honest, I cannot find a better looking cooker. I love cooking rice quinoa, or any of the endless online recipes - many of which are easy, quick, and somewhat healthy. If you're in the market for a pressure cooker (which ended up being a way more useful addition to my kitchen than expected - I was a doubter) then I think this one strikes a great balance between price, looks, quality, and features.

This is my favorite multi-cooker; it is so easy to use and clean and it is well made.It does the job it is supposed to do. The food is properly cooked and very tasty and moist. I use it about 5 times a week. I read all the instructions before I used it and that was the best that I could have done. I had no issues getting started. I love cooking dried beans, rice and so many other foods in this pot. I highly recommend that you try one; you will save a lot of cooking time.

I feel like I was the last one to the show as far as pressure cookers go. Been around them for many years and knew the benefits of them, but finally decided to take the dive. If you're looking to bring new experiences to your cooking, this is it. Baking, frying, slow cookers, they're all great, but food done in a pressure cooker is just simply a world apart from the rest. This brand at this price was a steal. My only regret is I waited too long to get it!

I didn’t want to spend an arm and leg for the Instapot so I purchased this one on sale. I absolutely LOVE it! At first I was a little intimidated by it but once I started using it, it’s a breeze. So far, I have made hard boiled eggs, a roast and babyback ribs! The roast took 35 mins and was AMAZING! Definitely recommend this cooker.

In a week I have used the cooker to cook a steak, a chicken breast, and rice. I have never used a pressure cooker before and was a little nervous about it. I can see the benefits of using it for instance you can make rice in 4 minutes after the pressure has built up. I am looking forward to making a cake in it or cooking beans in it. The pan cleans up easily. The instruction book is lousy as others have noted, but I look up cooking instructions on the internet.

Bought this cooker for my wife and I to try something new. It’s been a great and easy way to cook both meats and vegetables, mains and sides, and soups, and .... well it can really cook anything. This unit is a slow cooker, pressure cooker, and steamer. We joke that we can take just this multi-cooker with us on a road trip and have everything we need to cook. We are also getting the glass top lid and stainless steel pot accessories.

Been a Vegetarian now for about a year and a half. I have always loved beans of all kinds but I really love me some red beans and rice. Wow! From dry beans to tender creamy red beans in 55 minutes! They were actually done in 45 minutes but I wanted them to pop and get all creamy good. An extra 10 minutes under pressure and they were DELICIOUS! No overnight soak, no all day slow cook. All done in under an hour. You will love this appliance!

Bought this to give the quick pot a try. Not eager to add another kitchen appliances but now realise I can remove my slow cooker which is about the same size. No more worries about pulling frozen foods out the night before or worries about having a slow cooker going all day long. Just put the meat in, sear, put the lid on and 30 minutes you have a moist, delicious meal with one pan easy clean up.

I tried rice and found that it cooks it perfectly just as long as you rinse the rice really good before cooking. The bean setting allows 20 minutes and this was way to short. I would also recommend a metal basket if you want to steam vegetables. Also vegetable are good at 3 minutes. Like I said its lots of experimentation but once you get the times down it is so much easier.
