Worked fine for 2 years. Then it died.nNot sure why. Motor worked, but shredder wouldn't spin. Stripped gear or something. But, it wasn't much of an investment in the first place.

I love this shredder for average daily usage of getting rid of my sensitive data documents and my mails. As it can cut 6 pages each time, it’s sufficient for my need at home. I don’t need a heavy duty one, which is more expensive and more fitted in an office setting. I love all the indications and detailed functions, such as overheating with red light, automatic mode with green light, where you can feed papers into the shredder, and then it would smartly detect and shred it. Once it’s done, the shredder will stop running and rest, until you feed the next set of paper. In doing so, the shredder can conserve energy and avoid overheating. I recently retired and no longer have access to a work shredder so I read the reviews on this one. After it was delivered, I placed the top on, but accidentally pinched the chord and didn't notice. I turned on the power, but it failed to power up, which is when I found out I pinched the chord. This safety feature does work. I mainly shred personal mail and other documents with personal identifying information. I have found this shredder works as advertised and does not take up a lot of space. The viewing window is a nice feature and there's no worry about bags. Just take the top off and empty the contents, which are securely shredded. I was also able to get it 50 percent less than what Amazon was selling it for, which made it a definite bargain.
