Simple, low cost, Optical Digital Audio Cable

In order to use my older Sony RF wireless headphones I had to use a Digital to Analog D/A converter to convert the only audio out option the TV has into something I could use. The Insignia D/A converter work perfectly. I used this optical cable to connect my Samsung TV to the D/A converter. Instant headphone jack on my Samsung TV. No reason to buy anything better than this cable.

I then had to move another flat screen TV from a guest room to the living room, and reconnect the Bose surround sound system to it. I'm pretty tech savvy, but could not get the sound to funnel through the Bose rather than the lousy TV speakers. After describing the issue with an associate at Best Buy, he recommended this optical audio cable. Problem solved! Now, my dad and his bad hearing can listen to movies with full bass to his heart's content.
