    Bought this for a couple $s off due to open box item pricing. Product works just as well as the much more expensive name brand item. Really like that covers are included so that product can be protected if not in use.

    I have an older TV that has 3 HDMI ports. Unfortunately, only 1 has both audio and video capabilities (ARC). In order to listen to a variety of 7.1 options using my home theater system with my Roku stick and DVD player, I bought this audio cable and solved the problem. Now my blu ray player uses the HDMI cable and my Roku brings in digital audio with this optical cable. I connected this cable inside of 2 minutes. I should have tried this long ago.

    Yes I promise its an optical cable. Its a very simple piece of equipment and does exactly what it was designed to do. The quality of this product is as what you would imagine. I don't even think it matters. Do people still use these? Anyways I do, and I don't notice any difference in anything. I don't even know if its even hooked up even though I have it plugged up from my blue ray player to my receiver. Anyways 5-stars just because it looks good and doesn't look cheap.
