    For heavy gear you want something much more substantial. My intended use was mounting a remote speedlight flash unit in odd places where it can be unobtrusive or where using a full sized light stand would untenable. For this it works fine. It is not meant for use with large and heavy cameras or photo gear.

    This is a nice little tripod that I mainly bought with the purpose of using it to help take close-up pics of items for use on our online shops. It's very flexible and keeps the camera nice and steady so I get a decent shot every time.
