Had isses using the software that comes with this and i havent taken the time to dive into it.. i havent really needed a wired transfer cable and thought i did to help transfer data to my NAS faster than wirelessly but i dont know if its working. The confusion is also with my NAS which is why i wont rate this harshly. Removed the one star because of the software that i cant get to work.

Needed a USB Cable for my router and this one is the perfect legnth for what I need and is very good quality. Just what I needed for the job,

I purchased this to have on hand for work projects, the cable is nice and long and has worked great for what I need transferred!

Couldn’t ask for anything better!!! This product downloaded from one computer to the other rather fast. The cord is long also.

This cable is a prime example of Keep It Simple Stupid. Plug & play. Plug it in, wait for the driver to install, and click & drag files from one device to another. So easy, a caveman could do it. And I did! No more copying files to a flash drive or external HD just to transfer them to another device. And the length of the cable is very convenient. The devices need not be stacked atop one another in order for you to get some work done.

It was easy to plug in and worked as stated in directions. Transferring photos and folders from old computer to new worked great.

The transfer cable did exactly what I nemeses it to do. Plugged in to old HP computer and then to my new HP desktop computer, I was able to transfer everything I wanted install on my new computer to my new one. I works like a drag and drop as both computers show on the screen...opened to “C” drive on both. Now I can restore my old one back to factory condition and sell it.

As a file transfer cable, this works beautifully. However, because I was looking for a USB to USB connector, I was hoping this would do the job if it would just allow me to bypass the pre-installed software. Wasn't the case. If you're just looking for a simple connector cable, this isn't for you. If you're getting a new computer and need to move files over, this will definitely work for you.

My husband wanted to make the move from his old laptop to his new laptop as easy as possible and was he surprised. This cable was the trick and he said he wish he knew about this the last time! Nothing was lost and he "walked" right back into the new one with no losses, interruptions, or scrambled documents. He has extensive Bible programs and everything was exactly as it was before the transfer.

Did not work for what I wanted it for. I returned it since it did not do what the sales men said it would do. Probably would work for other uses and seemed like good quality material. the ends were made of very thick plastic around the USB. Might make it hard to slid a usb in next to it.

I’ve always stuck with Apple brand cords for reliability and security, however when my last Apple coded went out I decided I’d finally try something new. I have not been disappointed. As soon as you take it out of the box you can feel how durable and well made it is. I also enjoy the strap feature on this cord. It allows me to keep my cords organized easily while on the go

I recently upgraded to a new desktop tower. The old tower was still working, but I needed to move up to a faster computer with more memory. Once the new machine was set up, I plugged in the transfer cable to both computers and was transferring files within minutes. The cable comes with built-in software that displays both computers on one screen. You just select what files you want to transfer, select where you want to put them on the new machine, then transfer. You can even click and drag if you like doing it that way. I didn't want to transfer all the files and this cable, with its software, made it easy to select only what I wanted on the new computer (the old computer will still be used, but in a lesser role). This cable worked great for my needs.

I got this cord to transfer my files from a PC with an outdated operating system. I did this because I had not been able to do security updates, and I did not trust transferring them over Wifi. I would recommend that anyone with the same concern use this method.

This cable was a godsend in transferring data from Win-Win pc as well as from a MAC-Win pc The fact that the transfer sw is built into the cable is genius. Best transfer cable I have ever purchased and the setup and transfer was incredibly easy and successful. Highly recommend for Win-Win and Mac-Win data transfers.

My laptop's driver disappeared and I could not connect it to wifi or a hotspot to reinstall the driver. This usb cable assisted me so well in getting the job done. I definitely recommend this for document transfers and routers with usb ports. Happy shopping!

Great high quality USB cable. I needed a longer cable to connect to my printer.

Bought another transfer cable recommended by Dell Supposedly free with Dell and could not get it to communicate with my od and new computer. Tried 5 times. Went to Best Buy to purchase just a cable for that brand. Saw the Insignia which said all it needs is the cable. It started to work immediately and within everything was transferred! Plus you can use it more than once! Not like the recommended one which you can only use once.
