I have very many saved directories and about 150,000 files and about 300 Gig that include all my work, both personal and professional, since 2000 and even some back to 1990. I bought the transfer cable which seemed expensive, but, it was worth using. It made the transfer of all my data easy and did not take too much time. No more time consuming transfers of data using linited USBs.

My husband and I both bought new laptops and were trying to figure out the best way to move data from the old machines to the new. After getting totally frustrated by trying to do this with thumb drives, I did some searching and found this transfer cable. Worked like a charm...just made sure to do the transfers by increments...not everything at one time. Doing the data transfer in chunks seemed to work best.

My husband bought this to charge his portable charger. He wanted something longer than the mini cord that came with the portable charger. We attached the USB to the charger then attached the USB on the other end into a plug. Plugged it all into an outlet. No charge. We attached it to power up from my computer as I do for my iPhone at times. No charge. We hoped it was the cable and not the new portable power charger. My husband pulled out the mini cord that came with the portable charger and it worked fine. Must be the cable. I asked for the packaging so I could return it for him. I read the box. The cable was NOT FOR CHARGING!! The cable is for fast efficient movement of information from one device to another. The double USB cable is not defective. The moral of the story is to be sure you know that you're buying. Read!!

I used this to transfer all my documents from my old mac to my new mac. Worked flawlessly and was easy to figure out on my own without having to YouTube it! The app came up as soon as both were plugged into my computer--and just like that I was able to easily transfer what I needed! No hiccups along the way!

I bought this to transfer data from one computer to another. I really haven't used it or even think I need it. Most of my files were transferred wirelessly and/or exist on a separate hard drive. I would recommend this only if you need it. Save the $.

If you are upgrading from a Windows 7 machine to a Windows 10 machine, you will need one of these to do a data transfer. It worked flawlessly and did not take more than about 90 minutes.

I bought the transfer cable because a Salesperson at Best Buy told me that I could charge my HP laptop off my the cigarette lighter in my car with it. That doesn't work! However, it does work as a transfer cable much faster than my older one.

This is my charging cord for my back up power when I run out and this cord will charge my back up power supply very quickly, Because of how thick this cord is has got everything to do with it. And, it makes it durable. So, when it get tossed around it won't break like those cheep one's.

This is a cable with 2 Type A connectors (the common large flat connector). You plug one end into one computer, the other end into another computer. There is a processor and some flash memory in the cable itself, so when you plug it in, it launches a non-install application (that is, it runs from the cable and does NOT install anything on your computers). The application shows a split window, with a File Explorer-like interface in the top and bottom. Top shows one computer, bottom shows the other. Drag and drop stuff back and forth between the computers. Simple! Easy! Fast! And a LOT less hassle than going back and forth with a USB Flash Drive (especially if you have a Large quantity of data to transfer, or if you are updating and moving files a lot.) I use this at client sites - many clients don't want non-company computers plugged into their networks, and even when they permit it, then establishing a connection to another computer (as opposed to simply getting to the internet) is a problem. This cable makes moving projects from my work computer to client system a snap! Great device! Goes in my computer bag as a permanent addition! Directions say it works PC-PC, PC-MAC and MAC-MAC. I have only used it PC-PC so far, so I can't vouch for the other arrangements, but I have no reason to think they would not work just as well.

Insignia™ - 6' USB 2.0 Transfer Cable - Needed to hook up my laptop to my desktop monitor when using the laptop at home. This cable did the job. Now I have a 24 " monitor to use my laptop at home. Then I unplug the cable from my laptop when I need to go to work and take the laptop with me. Very easy and it solved my needs.

As usual Best Buy had what I needed for the job, it was right the first time and did exactly what I needed it for. Several associates asked if they could assist me and directed me to the "expert" this was the right person to ask and took me right to several choices for my needs. Something as simple as the correct USB connection made a lot of difference in application process.

Get's the job done. Transfers data quickly and is a solid cable.
