These cables from insignia are perfect for the price point. I would rather have these then the expensive brands. Quality lasts and I don’t see a reason to buy more expensive ones.

When I told the Best Buy *employee* that I needed to transfer pictures to and from a digital photo frame, this is the product he showed me. However, I was completely unable to use this, because this product is specifically designed to transfer files *between two computers*. I could do nothing with this device and my digital photo frame. A little product knowledge or technical knowledge on the part of the Best Buy employee would have saved me some time and frustration. I assumed Best Buy would have a simple USB cable. I did not bother to try and exchange the device but simply returned it. Maybe I will have better luck elsewhere.

Built in software made transferring files from my old computer simple and fast. Both hard drives are visible on both computers in the same screen. File transfer is a simple mater of pulling the file from one hard drive to the other on either computer.

The USB cable was purchased as an alternative to using an HDMI cable to connect the laptop to the television. It wasn't needed for that purpose after all, so it was given to a relative who needed a USB cable, and it was good for his purposes.

I purchased a transfer cable to use in moving data from my old equipment to my new one. I talked with a sales representative, who helped me select the cable that he said would work. Later that week I was at Fry's and stopped by the service department to ask a question about using the cable during the transfer. They informed me that I didn't need a cable if I was using Windows, as there is an Easy Transfer program built into Windows. Although he would have lost a sale, I wish the tech at Best Buy would have given me this information. I would have been more likely to return and ask questions about future purchases.

It's a cable; what can I say about it except it works. I got the longer cable because I didn't know how far away I would need to set my phone to charge it. It's easy to shorten a long cable but it''s impossible to stretch a short cable.
