    I was looking for a cable to easily transfer data between 2 laptops, this one was not quite that, somewhat more involved with a software program. But I did make it work for the most part.

    Transfer is fast, but the proprietary software is less functional when it comes to transferring files. Specifically, there is no provision in their software to handle copying over large numbers of files that already exist on the "to" drive. You can't skip transfer of all pre-existing files; you must select the action for EACH file. Copying data to a fresh, unused drive is fine, but trying to update or back up to pre-existing folders is not.
